This is such a cool sounding song, I figured I'd show you the way I found works better for me when playing. Please don't take this as any kind of criticism, all I did was move some stuff up a position cause it's easier for me.

Well, it is easier I agree :P I was glad I made it at least somehow playable after drop-d tuning and capo on 2, but yours looks better.
Only thing that came to my mind when arranging was something like this, with the middle finger barring the d and a string. But didn't really want to ask that of anyone haha.
edit: send hsl a message if he can update the fingerings a bit, should be better then.
