Submitted Wed, 12/05/2012 - 18:59 by Vulpes (4 votes) Just a small cover of a very short Theme^^ ...I`m still a noob at mixing, but I hope, this one is a bit better than further ones ^___^ If you have critics, just tell, this is all about gaining experience, not stars ;P =^. .^= |
The mix sounds a LOT better!
The mix sounds a LOT better! But I'd suggest mixing the drums up a bit, adding some more rhythms to them. Either way, very nice job! It turned out pretty good (:
Thanks for your advice and
Thanks for your advice and opinion =)
Jah, the "drums" are the best I found within my DAW... they're totally crap, and in original they sound even worse and more silent, I edited them with an Envelope-Shaper, but it's still *meh*
They´re also not 100% accurate, but that's another story...-.-*
This three-step-order of the drums is also in the original OST, I tried to copy a bit...but I'll keep that in mind > some more rhythm^^
Hey friend happy to see you'r
Hey friend happy to see you'r enjoy GT :)
You did a good job but something sounds weird... Idk if it's the harmonies, or your tone or tuning...
Waiting for your next covers :D
I think it's mostly the tone
I think it's mostly the tone of the leads... (I'm still not satisfied with that :D)
DSheltonator also wrote me: he thinks, it could be something with the drums and that's also plausible.
Yap, I'll try further, experience won't be gained by doing nothing xD
Hej Hash, I'm also waiting for your new stuff ;P , even if you won't make covers anymore ^^
I think everything in the
I think everything in the recording would sound better with tighter rhythm. I'd worry about that more than tone.
Héhéhé ^^ Well the last month
Héhéhé ^^
Well the last month i didn't had the time for guitar but i started composing and making arrangement of older compositions...
But as i compose more in the idea of making "rock songs" i have a problem of monotony and repetivity, because i don't sing ^^'
So i try to add some melodies, but i don't want to make pure instrumental songs, so i don't really know where i'm going... we will see ^^
Your computer's drumming has
Your computer's drumming has bad rhythm. Did you program the notes yourself with keydrumming?
Yap, you're right, I recorded
Yap, you're right, I recorded the drums by playing a keyboard as a Midi-controller with the OST-mp3 as "backtracking"... so jeah, they are not totally accurate... …less than expected...
> I just found out yesterday, how to adjust everything within a project, so that the grid fits in speed and beat to the track. Because of that I also had no fitting click...
I didn't care about it enough! ._.
...and so „humanized„ that too much^^
In future I`ll prevent that epic mistake, I promise -.-*
It´s great here, that you people are helping with critics and suggestions, thanks :)
If you can set up your
If you can set up your keydrumming so you can alternate both hands whenever you'd alternate hands on real drums, it can make it a lot easier to get the rhythm right :-)
Okay, I`ll try to arrange it
Okay, I`ll try to arrange it that way and more ergonomic^^ Thanks for the hint^^
