Is that a maple fretboard on your guitar? It looks unusually white.

It should be maple, it's probably just the brightness from a light reflecting off of it making it look unusually bright. Paint would ruin a fretboard

My lamp above my computer made it so bright, but it is actually white

Yeah it should be maple, as you say, but woods are commonly "stained" and "bleached" to change their color, much like paint. My guitar has a black fingerboard which is stained rosewood, though it doesn't look as perfectly black as ebony. Bleached maple is awfully light!

And you've seen the intro and outro I posted? Try them, I think they're more accurate.
One more thing - :) you can get a good twang for the theme if you play with your picking hand nearer the bridge.
