You gotta go back and practice keeping time in the piece. Everything was so scattered about I could barely tell what was what.

Yup the Rhythm part doesn't sounds nice to me... But is still love the tune of your lead guitar ! Do you use some effects or just your amp ?

Well, you don't have to use
Well, you don't have to use one, of course. But you'll need to develop an internal metronome in any case, so I'd suggest practicing with one ^-^;
I'll put it succinctly, if
I'll put it succinctly, if you are have poor rhythm, you NEED to be exposed to a metronome to improve it. You aren't magically going to suddenly develop a keen sense of rhythm without it. It's like suddenly getting better at something you're practicing incorrectly to begin with.
