What are you looking at

What are you looking at Lemon.Anyway great recording and keep up the the good work.Other than that,WHAT YOU ARE A GIRL(i thought you are a dude,no offense though) and seriously you need to stop clenching your teeth and biting your own lip there. You need to relax while you are playing and enjoy the music and have fun. Then you will capture the mood of the song.I also had this same kind of problem when i started guitar.Close your eyes while playing and this problem was solved for me.Feel free to try out.

I was reading the tab off my monitor. and thats cool, I wouldn't wear boyish clothes if I didn't think I might be mistaken for one. And I am pretty relaxed in this one actually, that's just an automatic twitch I have when I play. I will close my eyes next time I have a song memorized and see if it helps. Thanks for the feedback.

To Lemon,it is fine with me if you dont mind what i said.I only said so because that habit give an impression to audience(except for those who have some lip biting fetish) that you are being nervous and tense up while playing(although you said you are not) and this give a slight stuffy feeling. In my opinion, first impression is always important.Or do i sense something else regarding that comment. Also,Congratulations to you ,Lemon.

Yeah I automatically do it

Yeah I automatically do it when I have to do a difficult stretch. and uh im not sure what you mean by first impression thing ahaha

No you don't, shush.
On a more serious note, was mainly to point out that lip-biting is for a lot of people a habit instead of a nervous/worried-reflex. It depends on when it happens. I do interpret it differently when it's in the middle of a convo as well than when someone does it on guitar, I've also had some habits/ticks when playing at first, but when you're aware of them they become quite easy to regulate or entirely negate. On that subject, it's just like how you see jazz pianists move their lips on rhythm constantly (for time counting/inner singing, mainly thinking of Tatum or Peterson) or T. Monk moving his right leg like a crack addict non-stop (I always end up watching that leg more than his playing in his videos, this is the most annoying habit imo). I'm pretty sure they don't do that in conversations or general though, yet no one judged such traits of theirs as performers (although their talent would become apparent anyways for their playing) nor in their playing, esp with how great they are still considered decades later.
