I listened once, and my reaction was "wow, this is very nice. Solid playing. The fret buzz on that bass note was from the guitar's action itself, right?"
But you said to critique you so I will watch again with a more critical mind. :-)
0:10 first thing I notice is that your wrist looks very good! Miles away from a year ago.
0:34, that jump to the barre is handled pretty well, without stopping the pace of the piece, although not 100% smooth. Can't comment on doing it smoother though, as I haven't even tried it myself.
up to :50. You seem to have a natural sense of the dynamic flow of this piece here. I don't really know how to quantify that, but it sounds very nice.
0:56 I have to wonder if there's an alternate fingering that doesn't require that jump, but probably not. (not a comment on your handling of it--it's pretty much as smooth as looks possible imo)
Around 1:30, very nice evenness of tone across the fingerboard. If I was listening and not watching I would have no clue that your hand just jumped up and back down.
2:20 to 3:00, you just rocked. It looks like there may have been a little "aftershock" of tension after that run, resulting in a flubbed note around 3:10? If I knew how to combat that myself, I would tell you. It's probably an individual thing. "Breathe" is the only thing I can say, and that's more my assumption, rather having successfully done it myself. My problem seems to be that when I focus on breathing and relaxing, I lose concentration on the notes.
What happened at the end that you felt you had to cut off the video so fast? hahah
Overall, a very strong performance. There are some spots here or there where a note isn't as loud or well defined as it could be, but you probably know where they all are, better than I do.
You nailed the tough part for articulation. An idea for expression: intentionally drop your volume at 2:20 to emphasize a slow crescendo all the way to 3:00. The notes are building, first in ascension, then in quantity, and all of this says "long-ass crescendo time!" The problem is that the classical guitar's dynamic range is not a large as a piano's or an orchestra's, so for good crescendo effect sometimes you have to drop off first if you were at medium volume.
You are becoming a very strong musician, and with your dedication it will only get better.
Bravo! Always liked this
