current-gen tabs

i wasn't sure where to put this but i hope i made the right decision.
anyways i've noticed that a large majority of the tabs on this site
are old japanese consoles (and the wii), but the current-gen consoles
have just as much to offer. games that have astounded me musically aren't even
featured here. one of the best game soundtracks i have ever
heard was the halo series and i've only seen a few, a FEW halo
tabs here, and even less good ones. i'm doing what i can to help
the current-gen users learn "that one awesome song" in "that one awesome
game", but i'm just one guy, i need your help.
thank you for your time

i tabbed the halo 3 theme and was previously interested in tabbing 'Brothers in Arms' from the halo 1 ost

halo is definitely not one of the BEST osts as a whole for me, but some of its songs are up there, i've always liked On a Pale Horse and Under the Cover of Night for instance, and part of 2nd Movement of the Odyssey from halo 2 was one of the first things i learned on guitar

In all honesty, I think it is mostly due to the nostalgic factor that a lot of these older games produce. There are a lot of other factors, but as I typed them out, I felt they all sort of indirectly came back to nostalgia, anyways.

Also, keep in mind that there IS a request portion of the site with the ability to vote up songs. If there is something that you'd like to see tabbed, request it... at the very least you will be getting the particular song that you like some attention/awareness by some of the tabbers on this site.

I think the reason why we don't have many current gen songs is that games today are more cinematic. Most of the music is played during cutscenes. Older games' music is based on levels/stages/places(towns) that repeat several times and get embedded into your head. Plus songs on new games are similar to movie music and sometimes have full orchestras. It is hard to transcribe these songs onto guitar and sometimes it's hard to even find a melody.
