THE FORUM OF FORGOTTEN TABS

Hoi there!!

It seems like there are plenty of folks who have plenty of tabs that they can't seem to finish. I know myself that it feels pretty bad when you have a good half-a-tab done, but can't seem to finish it. Can't seem to get a riff right? lacking motivation? Let's make this forum the place to share the unfinished tabs which anyone can then help finish off.

I'll start. Here are the 3 tabs I started, but don't have plan to continue.
It's all yours: Alphys, Asgore and Papyrus

REGARDING CREDITS
For simplicity sake here's the rule of thumb: the original tab creator should get the main credit and upload the tab unless the contributor creates at half or more of the content, and every participant should get partial credit for contribution. Don't want anyone angry about not receiving any credit for their work; lets keep this site a nice place.

EDIT I collected all the unfinished tabs posted in this forum HERE

as if there wasn't already enough undertale..

Hmm.. Well here are 3 songs from Undertale that haven't been tabbed yet. I don't think I'll get to them anytime in the near future, I've got a lot more music from other games that I want to get through.

bring it in
heartache guitar
undertale enemy approaching

They need a lot of editing. I just used the method I described in my forum post to make them but I haven't had the time to clean them up and make them playable. Heartache I think only needs to have notes deleted, the other two need to have notes moved, chords changed and would probably benefit from capo's somewhere.

I don't care about credit, it's all yours whoever picks them up. Also let me know if you need diferent files.

shit i cant get the links to

"Once we were" is basically completed, all that's left is organizing the timing I think, but i'm terrible when it comes to organizing and writing up the tab.

"Holy quintet" Now this one is sorta all over the place, you could probably even split it up into multiple tabs lol, I'm pretty sure I was arranging it in drop C or something like that, but again, i'm not very good at it lol.

"confessio" I think this one is basically done, maybe a few not changes here and there, though, like "once we were" the timing and everything needs to be sorted out.

I'm not sure if they're uploaded properly cause I don't upload anything often, i hope the file type is correct. If anyone does decide to take any of them on please tell me, thanks!

Wayward Tabs zip

Here's a few anime tabs I'm not going to mess with anymore. Mostly somewhat ambitiously incomplete transcriptions. Anyone who plays electric guitar might find these useful.

Date a Live - Date a Live OP (I tabbed a lot of this but kinda lost interest before I even got around to tabbing the vocals)
Hot Meal - Angel Beats (Didn't seem like a promising fingerstyle song)
Kuroi Light - Death Note (Gave me a headache)
Light's Theme - Death Note (I stumbled upon scarecrowlol's superior solo fingerstyle version so I play it instead. This tab is full-band though)
Sekai wa Koi ni Ochiteiru - Blue Spring Ride, one of the theme songs (Fingerstyle attempts proved unsatisfactory)

Please forgive all of the wrong notes and inaccuracies; I made some of these a long time ago XD
Anyone is free to modify, complete, or adapt these to fingerstyle, etc.
If you do get anything good out of it please post it here, thanks :)

Power Tabs?

I'm not familiar with this file type so I have a question. Is it powertabs 2.0 or just powertabs? I heard the original powertabs is dead.

EDIT managed to open your tabs. nvm the question. BTW I like your tabs. It's pretty good.

Pretty sure it's just original PowerTab. I could only export as text. I never export out of the program often so I did it like that. I mainly use it just to write up the tabs. Since I'm no good at actually organising the notation and measures etc the tabs get left unfinished.

Thanks a lot for the compliment :) I'm glad someone enjoys em

I've got a couple of fingerstyle tabs i either got bored of/neglected and forgot about til now, so thanks for the reminder!

unfinished tabs

you'll find within here:
Tooku Kimi e - Croisee in a foreign Labyrinth (just the intro)
Morning After the Storm - YS Celcata (i adore this track but just haven't come back to it. Solo may take a while to transcribe)
Jinsei no Merry go Round - Howl's Moving Castle (this was based off another tab i'd seen somewhere with my own up-tempo spin)
Welcome to Le-locle - Trails in the Sky SC (couldn't make it work to my liking)

and last but not least (get excited Mecha), Snow Halation from Love Live! i'll probably do this once work slows down and exams are done, but that could be a while so someone else can have a crack if they'd like

To be brutally honest i don't think i'll be able to make something out of the tracks posted sofar, i tend to focus on solo guitar arrangements and a lot of them seem to be unsuitable for that from a quick glance - but i'll keep an eye out and see what else comes up and i might be able to lend a hand somewhere!

P.S. i discovered about 3 different tabs i'd finished but not posted in my hard drive thanks to this thread LOL

OMG I am super stoked for Snow Halation, Quinn! Now I'm thinking maybe I should start on something Love Live too... Time for a rewatch! Morning After the Storm sounds really cool. I hope it gets finished some time.

Lucky you! I stumbled into a sub-folder of a sub-folder and found a bunch of my embarrassing early tabs. The shame! Though I did find my half-finished, forgotten transcription of the Digimon anime opening theme (the english-localized one) "Digimon, digital monsters, digimon are the champions!" lol I think I might finish that one.

a.christie.w your tabs do sound pretty good and accurate, except for the note values and bar population. Sounds to me like they would make good tabs if they were polished up.

Oooh the digimon op would be so nostalgic to play, I'll be on the lookout for it if you do work on it. I'm glad people are taking the time to have a look at my tabs :) it's the technical stuff that ultimately leaves them unfinished, I'm no good at power tab and not tried any other programs.

@a.christie.w - I'm really happy with Guitar Pro 5. I got the knack for making tabs from copying tabs into GP5 from tab books and Guitar World mags. It was pretty good exercise and made a lot of stuff click.

I might post that Digimon tab in the WIP section after I've tinkered with it. I'm not willing to surrender it to public domain just yet!

quite the tangent but I gotta say, i'm a huge fan of your monogatari tabs. You ever plan on making any more?

Thanks :) No immediate plans for more right now, though. I'm probably done with songs from the Season 1 OST but I'm going to listen to the others at some point and see if there's anything I want to play from them.

I have actually been working on a very similar arrangement of secret of the forest myself

Secret of the Forest

I was just about done actually, just needs a bit of cleaning up, I'll probably submit it in a few days

EDIT: that tab exported missing a lot of melody notes, the one I post will have it all there, you guys get the idea though maybe..

I have two tabs I'm willing

I have two tabs I'm willing to share. The first is from Baldur's Gate which is a franchise that is seriously lacking in arrangements for how legendary it is. Tried to to a battle theme which I thought was pretty epic but at some points there were just too many voices at once in the track for me to handle. Experimented around a bit how to get a satisfactory sound but never liked or saved the progress I made which I probably should've. Also found it to be a bit overblown with the bassline and sound which needed more refinement but I never got back to it.

Baldur's Gate - Attacked by Assassins

The second one is actually a request of mine that was already fulfilled by N0stars and OggirtMoonfrad but I already worked on it prior to that so I figured might as well continue. The goal was to make an easier version of this (because the arrangement of these two had pretty demanding finger switches) while preserving the sound. But again, never got to the point were I was actually finishing it.

The Bannered Mare

Overall I see the tabs that I do without finishing them up more as excercise and to experiment a little. Completing the work is pretty satisfying though so I should do it more often :P
