Might've been a bad string but also if those were the strings that were on the guitar since it's been at the music store who knows how old they are and how often they've been used. Might've just been it's time. |

Elixer strings last long sure, but their tone and warmth fails hard. |

Elixir works fine on

Elixir works fine on acoustics, but I wouldn't reccomend them for electric guitars. They don't sound as good as regular strings (if you get the right regular strings, mind you) but they last longer, so if changing strings is something you don't like doing, or don't want to do often, you might like them. Of course the hike in price doesn't make up for how much longer they last, so you can just go ahead and use better normal strings in the end, if you don't mind changing them. As for the reason Elixir strings just aren't all that great, it would be the coating. It makes them slippery. That's a problem, because your fingers slip, and especially on electric where you need to move your hand around a lot, but in the end they also sound worse. They sound dull and played-in from the moment you put them on, which quite frankly puts them in the needs-to-be-replaced-immeadiatly category for me from the moment they go on. So, long story short, I don't reccomend Elixir, but your milage may vary. |

I have been looking for guitar strings for many days but could not find them anywhere because there is a lack of shops here in my area. I need to hire best essays writer to complete my essay on time. But thanks to my friend who sent me the link to your website where I could buy one. |

So i bought myself a Yamaha FG700MS yesterday.
When i came home and started to tune my guitar the High E string snapped immediately. I literally turned the tuning peg 1 millimeter and the string snapped.
Im going back to the music store soon to have them string my guitar anew and tune it because im scared the same thing will happen again :P
Anyways my question is, ive heard from a few people that elexir strings are the best ones, so should i buy them and have em change all strings to elexir?
