Heh, definitely not it. It's more of a somber folk song, and the guitar is real whiney and high pitched.

I heard the song on the radio the other day, but I didn't catch the name. It sounds like a Bob Dylan song. And the guitar is a little different from how I made it sound in the MIDI.

Randomly "The Cure" popped into my head... I don't know any cure songs really lol But it doesn't even sound like a rock song - or at least not what I tie it to Sounds like an oldie of some sort If there was more, maybe I could make a connection

Oh, I think I know exactly what song you're talking about! Is it an old song with a reverb on the drums? (I know most of them are, but it'll narrow down the search

No, it's nothing like that song really. But I do like that song. The song I'm thinking of is more of a solemn folk song, which is why I was thinking it was a Bob Dylan song. I really wish I could remember some of the lyrics....

I have finally found it. Thanks to a 70's music infomercial that I fortuitously was awake at 4 am for. It's called America by Sister Golden Hair.

Congrats on finding it

Congrats on finding it Archard, and remember for next time, if you want to find a song you've heard, try to remember at least a line of the lyrics. Infinitely more easy to find a song from even just one line in the lyric than from the melody, even if you should remember it note perfect. |
Oh! That is what that is.

Oh! That is what that is. After you said it the midi sounded perfect. ;) *lol* Also, just because the perfectionist in my brain is clawing at me, it's actually "Sister Goldenhair" by the band America. :) |

I got one of those songs stuck in my head yesterday that you don't really know, but you've heard in passing before. Now I really wanna know what it's called so I can listen to the whole thing. I've attached a MIDI that I made that has the only part I can really remember, it's a whining electric guitar part that occurs in the middle of the song. I think it's recognizable enough that someone might know it. I'm pretty sure this song is from the 70's, possibly the 80's.
