Are we allowed to enter more than one? I've already done two. They're already posted. |

Yeah I was wondering the same thing, I've done some already so will those be included? Or do they need to be all brand new? And can we do more than one? I may or may nor participate with new stuff, but my old stuff is welcome to be used. |

Sure, you can use your old stuff. If you have more than one submission, I'd say it'd be better to just pick one though.

How would something like this be judged though? If it were a creative arrangement competition I could see that beacuse it's based on taking the original melody or idea and developing on it, but how are we supposed to judge two pieces that are basically transcriptions of the piece stuck on the guitar? I guess my point is, how does one compare between, say Ron's Treasured Love and my Valentina? Both are fugues and both stay veeryy close to the originals. How does one decide which is "better?" |

lol Kabukibear, I didn't think it would turn into such a serious contest. I was just planning to take everyone's submissions and make a poll and let the community decide which one is best. Very subjective, yeah, but it's really just all in good fun.

Ah, this thing. I made a tab of a song from parasite eve a while ago when the project was first announced...but looking at it again, it's pretty terrible. It's almost impossible to play and I can't figure out how to simplify it and keep the elements of why I liked it in the first place, so I'm going to forget about that one. However, I did find a song I really liked and started tabbing out with good success from Live a Live, called something like "The Ancient Master Descends from the Mountain" at vgmusic.com, so I'll work on that and submit it when I'm done.

I'm thinking about doing something from Super Mario RPG. I already have a start on the Forest Maze and Nimbus Land themes, so maybe I'll just finish those. |

k, I did one. I just picked a random nice sounding song from Breath of Fire. It's called "Alan and Cerl Forever (Tears)", it's a decent song, only 42 seconds, which repeats 3 times throughout the song. I had to go with 2 guitars because there would be very difficult fingerings on solo, plus I would had to of excluded many notes. So archard, do I send it to you or something? |
