SHOUTBOX!!! We need a shoutbox! Also last site it was easy to see who was leaving what comments on tabs. Is there a way to do this here? |

You know those songs that are not tabbed? The ones everyone goes nuts after because they're not anywhere on the web? I think that'd give this site an advantage if it had them. |

I am but a humble newb, but I think it would be nice if there was an "Other" section for tabs that are not related to video games. But if you wish to keep it strictly video game tabs, that is understandable too. |

I think the new site should have a section for theme songs. We have a section for anime, but why not broaden it to include movies and tv shows as well? I know I certainly have a rough time trying to find theme song tabs. |

That would be cool, though it's definitely not within the scope of this site IMO. I think it would have to be a separate site, and I don't have the passion for movie and tv show music to pursue that.

The layout as in everything entirely? Sure if you want but I was thinking more along the lines of just adding things Like Christmas decorations on the borders of the page, some shining lights Just so its not always the white and blue page Something that catches the eye etc. We could totally Brawl out the site in February

Oh yeah definitely. I was thinking of switching up the whole layout altogether though. I was kind of in a rush to get things up so I decided to just pick any old theme to put up. Theming takes a lot of time though and it's just hard to do that during school. What kind of layout would you like to see?

lol yeah I figured coming up with themes and dressing the site up would definitely take up lots of time I really don't have anything in mind as far as a lay out goes But just layouts of something we're waiting for or anticipating Or even for the projects this site does, make a layout that would reflect the project

Or even if you want to get really hardcore with it Have different layouts for different tab searches So when I bring up the Super Nintendo section I would see some of the most hyped and favored SNES games and characters that were released and then in actual games (I.E. Super Mario RPG) I would see some of the characters of that game But then again, that's if you really want to get into it

Well I mean as far as the characters in the layout go. I think what I'm gonna do once this semester is over is either develop a theme myself, or pay someone to do it for me, that can accommodate this site's needs really well, and implement cool ideas like the one you just said. Or maybe I'll just customize this theme a lot more.

We should have a "Things a Guitarist Should Know" Section Like you know how you were saying you were going to put up a map for stuff like Hammer Ons - Pull offs - and all that stuff? Should add all that in there, answers to frequently asked questions and just things a guitarist should know I think that would help us all out lol ^^;;;

I think the layout of the site is fine, there's nothing wrong with navigating tabs, games, etc. Only one thing, it's a little hard to navigate the profile pages, like, when I click my username to access my profile stuff there's a lot of confusing dead space and it's a little hard to navigate. Also, on the main page, you should be able to see past news articles, or at least there should be a section that's a list of all the GTYNPs. |

I'm gearing up for another upgrade of the site (nothing major though), and I wanna know what you guys wanna see. Right now I plan to get a brand new layout and make the site/forums look nice and pretty. I already have a guy working on a custom theme for me right now. I'm gonna change the way in which the tabs are listed pretty dramatically. Instead of just listing the name of the tab, there will be the name of the tab, the name of the tabber, the current rating for the tab, the game the tab is from and many other fields are possible (suggestions?). The lists will be displayed much nicer and neater, and will be separated into pages rather than just one giant list. This will not only look nicer and be easier to navigate, but will have a significant effect on the performance of the site, because the way I originally coded it was very "quick and dirty" and inefficient. I also plan to implement tabber and composer profiles like I've been saying for a long time. I also might change the recordings section to something different, maybe like a playlist kind of thing or something. And I might get rid of the lessons section just because I don't have any desire to write anything meaningful in there. So, if you want to see any new features or improvements to this site, NOW IS THE TIME TO TELL ME!

Here's a couple of ideas: Maybe in people's profiles, have a section for "favorite tabs" so people can see which tabs are those user's favorites and be able to quickly navigate to them. I'm not 1,000% satisfied with how the tabs are categorized under "style", mostly because the terminology of "arranged" and "transcribed" is kind of confusing to a lot of people (I think...) and a little subjective. Also, for people who play both electric and acoustic, those terms can be very subjective (I know they are for me, but maybe I'm just weird). On the other hand, they aren't terribly confusing concepts to figure out, and I really can't offer a better system :/ You could say I'm 995% satisfied Also, the articles section could be better organized instead of having them lined up as a long list of the full articles. If you're thinking about eliminating the lessons section, you could just incorporate it as a sort of subcategory for the articles section, and if people want to contribute a lesson-like article, they'd be free to do so. One last thing, I noticed that it can be kind of annoying for people to constantly be commenting on tabs, "This sounds better: -1--5---7--8--3---3---3----" or whatever. Maybe make some way for people to recommend tab revisions without cluttering up the comments section. However, that might put too much unwanted responsibility on whoever goes through them. If it was on an individual basis, then the person could choose to ignore them if they want. However, if they get ignored and really need revision, that could be a problem. On the other hand, if they really need revision, they probably wouldn't get posted in the first place. AHHHH!!! And so concludes some of my thoughts. The new layout sounds awesome and really fixes some of the initial quibbles I had with the site and forgot about and then remembered when you described how you're going to fix them. Keep up the awesome work on a sumptuous site!

Oh yeah and one more thing I forgot to include in my previous post. I'm gonna make it so that you can narrow down the tab lists by certain categories by selecting from drop down lists. So for example, say you're on the Electric > Transcribed list. That's a huge list. Maybe you wanna see tabs that are Electric > Transcribed AND from the Final Fantasy series. No problem, just select it from the drop down list. Still too big a list? You can narrow it down even further.

I had an idea just now (sorry if you've already thought of it). I think it would be cool to have a box at the side of tabs that gives you a list of similar tabs. At the top of the list, maybe have tabs from the same game, style, and tabber, and get less specific as you go down to maybe just tabs in the same series or by the same composer.
