You don't have to remove it bro, we just cant put it on the site all official-like.

Isn't there a thread somewhere that has "non-game tabs you've made"? Im too lazy to dig it up.

Or you could just cite the Pocahontas video game. Colors of the Wind is the bgm for the first level of the game.

We've been over this in other threads, if it wasn't originally created for the game it shouldn't be on here.

I don't think a new thread was necessarily warranted, so I took the information from your other thread and merged it into this one.

Yep as u said its an game ost so I guessed too than gametabs.net can propose it

Nope, I don't want delete it, I m ok to share it with others, a lot of people can use it as its easy to play.

If it's dangerous for gametabs.net to propose Disney arrangment of course it s best to delete it - Disney seems a powerfull company in Usa -, except that but I dont see another reason to not publish it.

bye (:

I was actually going to upload this when I merged his two threads, but I don't know how I feel about it so I figured I'd let another mod upload the tab if they thought it was alright. Hopefully people don't start submitting Star Wars themes under the guise of Rogue Squadron tabs or something.

It might be a good idea to PM Ash about this.

ha indeed "nate" isn't "mate", but it probably meant "natemn" Oo my bad english :/

March 2010, I found the midi files here : http://rainbowsendpress.com/sp/midi.html

Well it s an old prodject, I needed more time 'coz the midi file is an orchestral one.. -_-'

I think I used mainly this one to convert the notes to a tab :
http://rainbowsendpress.com/midi/colours.mid

but I also used two differents midi files sources from different version example : Coco Lee (Mandarin) cover song with an .KAR file (karaoke) (but midi compatible)

PS : I like Coco lee / chinese singers in general :)

Yep I always thinking gametabs.net is tolered by japanese companies because the distance between us and the website server (guessing its an USA one). So I m thinking the usa companies can be annoyed by illegal tabbers 0o. Or they don't care about us, how be sure ?

As I check, I saw than a lot of Disney songs are tabbeable see : http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disney_Interactive

LucasArts is a video games companie too : http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/LucasArts

each time a movie or anime works, a video Game is created to make more monney so maybe it ll can become a problem.

Cause The movies Industry have a bad habit using lawyers about copyrights, isnt'it ?

Indeed talk with the admin (Ash) about modifying of the rules of publishing to prohibit this kind of tabs seems needed.

Satefy of gametabs.net is the main point.

I'm not able to estimate the danger here coz i don't know about laws & I 'm french , I can just think about it , good & stupid idears both, then share it with you, sorry for the mess (:

I don't really understand why we block tabs of songs that aren't original to the games they are found in. Videogames don't borrow a lot of music, so it's unlikely that arrangements of original soundtracks will be buried by tabs of secondhand tunes. Also, most of the songs videogames do get from outside sources are of interest to members of the Gametabs community

I can see why we would block songs from video games like Rockband (I don't think gametabs needs to host fifty different tabs for Smoke on the Water), but there is a fundamental difference between the way music is used in beat games and other genres: in beat games the song is the game, while in all genres, the song is used as a theme or BGM.

I think the only reason a borrowed song should be rejected is that it isn't a theme within the game. We've been hosting borrowed songs for years, and it has only benefited the site.

Barring a few exceptions, any content is good content.

You mean the part that says sequenced by Patrick Collins? Diralark left the name empty with a ? and I thought he meant the name of the person who worked on the videogame. Do you want me to change it to Kevin Perez diralark?

No, "sequenced by" refers to MIDI sequencing. It's giving credit to the person who made the MIDI file diralark got the notes from. The file lists Kevin Perez as the sequencer.

Auriplane, u right "Kevin T. Perez" is the sequencer, the credit appears as a track names, I did'nt noticed that, & Finale sofware than I used shows me the "midi tags" as empty, so ... well done !
