All of the new kids want only to play speed metal only. Soon soul of guitar will gone forever , ZOMGZ !

Speed metal? Actually there's waayyyyy less speed metal around now. Also you could consider speed metal old school since it originated in the 70's - 80's.
And what do you mean soul of guitar will be gone? Do you think kids in metal don't play with soul?

gawd terrible trolling.
Anyways~
Today's mainstream scene isn't speed metal, all the "kids" don't want to play speed metal, most of them are interested in Metalcore and Grindcore variants, and I can't blame them, the riffs are pretty hot, only thing that bothers me in metalcore are vocals, but shit is pretty technical regardless, not practicing some of the stuff would only limit a player.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0pYWGjECLE
I challenge any player here to play that song perfectly on-tempo and call it easy.

moving on...I think you're not sure what you're talking about, Speed metal is a dying genre fom the 70s, popular in the early 80,it later went on to be called thrash metal, bands like Slayer, Kreator, heck even Metallica lol, back in the 70s you had bands like Deep purple and Led zeppelin with songs like fireball and communication's breakdown. regardless of anything I can assure if there's one thing kids want to play it is NOT speed metal.

Mainstream plays Blink 182 and Green Day, no?
At least that's what people were into in Europe back when I started years ago =|

Speed Metal isn't a big genre anyways atm. I bet you consider Paul Gilbert speed metal to think something like that.
And Classical fingerpicking songs on guitar are meh IMO. Piano is there for that tyvm. Jason Becker's one of the few who knew what classical should sound like on guitar, end of story.

i play pretty quick riffs myself, like the song Six, From As I Lay Dying, its not easy to start with.
but practicing goes a long way xD it would be easy after awhile.

but aye. neo - classical style (Yngwie Malmsteen) i wouldn't put in speed metal xD he plays fast solos, but ehhh. it comes when you desire that little burst that's catchy to the ear and eye :D

high tempo songs like this i think is fun to play xD

but I wouldn't call all shred soulless, shred done right definetly adds up emotion,
I can't imagine a piece like this without the shred sections lol:

not to mention shred players have some of the best rock vibrato all around, check out this guy's vibrato and shred style.

According to your vid, seems to me like you're saying to trash the electric guitar.
On top of that, destroy all picks and strumming patterns and start finger picking.

If people started speed shredding on acoustic guitars with distortion, I would agree with your opinion. The electric guitar is a whole different instrument IMO.

I prefer the metal (fast, shred, something unique, brutal) but the acoustic guitar it's good too, its question of tastes, like the jazz someone prefer the old jazz with acoustic stuff, some people think with electric guitars give another colour.

If you have the chance to listen to andy james, jason becker, marty friedman, paul gilbert, marco sfogli, shawn lane, guthrie govan, etc etc etc, they have many good stuff

I hope my commentary not sound like trolling, its like compare lonlonjp with paramore or with another pop singer, if you knows about music, you will know which its better

PD If you have time to hear to paco renteria will be good moment for relax, he is mexican guitar player, with flamenco/acoustic style

Here in italy most of kids want just to play this new kinds of metal ( i called it speed metal just for minor trolling ) that have no soul in my opinion or at least some trash punk-rock song ( I love old school british punk, but no one want to play this no more ). So I'm just "afraid" for new generation of guitar. thats it. What did you think 'bout it ?

It is great, 1st and 3rd are great as well (Red Tint is one of my favorites, and Final Fantasy 5 & Coin Song). I actually like a2c's solo stuff better than the band songs. Words, Gratitude, Transient Blue...but Rain of Sorrow is the best!
