Say the words out loud, at the same speed, without pause between them.
Hit a note on the start of each word.

The syllabic breakdown helps me with difficult rhythms,

Essentially nothing about the actual execution of the technique. It will give you some kind of an idea as to how it should sound at least.

As for execution, just slap the strong with the side of your thumb. That's what I do for this piece
