Come on, Enterim, you of all

Come on, Enterim, you of all people should have some sympathy for this kid. I seem to recall your first recordings getting some less than encouraging comments.

I mean, you guys can't expect everybody on here to be as good as CalebElijah or Kabukibear. If you guys are dicks, you'll end up discouraging this kid. Give him time to improve and helpful advice (like he mentioned).

kid?? O.o

Try to keep your tempo more

Try to keep your tempo more even, it's tempting to just kinda rush through something like this but, as a listener, it gets distracting when the beat is fluctuating so much. Find a tempo you like and tap your foot or bob your head to keep time.

Also, just a minor thing, starting at around 10 seconds where it changes, where you're playing 3-1-3-1-3-3 (I don't feel like writing the strings) consider playng the second to last 3 with your middle rather than the ring again. It will come out smoother rather than having to jump from the 3rd fret on one string to the 3rd fret on the other with the same finger. If you really must use your ring instead of jumping try flattening your ring finger so it doesn't actually have to jump, just flatten it down so it covers the 3rd fret of both strings.

So, just consider putting a little more effort into tempo and playing. Even something this simple can be played with care and that's the biggest thing. If you want us to get something out of your playing, regardless of what it is, you have to put as much as you can INTO your playing. The more you put in, the more we get out of it and vice versa.

Don't worry, I often refer

Don't worry, I often refer to people well into their 20s as kids. As for Kabukibear's advice - you should probably listen to this guy, seeing as he's done some of the most impressive stuff on this site.
