Chill playing, but I'm not too sure about drama shows being represented on the site. Might create conflict with other people wanting to submit other tv shows or movie tabs/recordings. Not my call though.

I think after the Pocahontas debacle we've sort of given up on what does and doesn't belong. I don't really think it's fair to say this doesn't belong given that we've allowed so many other songs to get in under the same circumstances.
It's not quite the same
It's not quite the same circumstance though. Those other songs were still used in games and I assume that the tabber based their arrangement on the game version rather than the original version of the song (except maybe Pocahontas, which I didn't realize until just now, but it's already been up for so long I don't want to take it down).
I think the whole reason people even post a few film/western cartoon music on here is that they see Anime and assume all film is okay. But I'm guessing archard wanted anime on the site because there is a lot of crossover with anime composers who do some videogames or game composers who do a few animes. That's less common in the west (the only examples I can think of are John Debney, Michael Giacchino, Harry Gregson-Williams and I just found out Ramin Djawadi, the guy who composed this song).
Unless this song was used in one of the games, which I looked up and couldn't find any OST for the game. But otherwise I would prefer not to post the song officially on the site.
Pupos, you can still post the tab in the desciption area of this recording, in the comments, or on the forum.

However, I imagine real awkward situation if such composers as Yuki Kajura or Yasunori "God of gamemusic" Mitsuda will make songs for movie and someone will try to slip it here.
I wouldn't be surprised if it
I wouldn't be surprised if it was used in the game given that the song itself is an important part of the story. Even if it's not there's going to be a new GoT game made by Telltale at some point and that may use it.
Hans Zimmer also worked on Crysis and a few other games. There are a couple other incidents of western composers working on games as well but I'm drawing a blank atm.
We really have no way of knowing what Arch intended unless he comes here and says so. Even still he's no longer running the site, Ash is. I can't imagine if the overwhelming majority of the community wanted something Ash would be against it.
The only reason stuff like this is getting brushed aside and we don't welcome western cartoons/content is because there's already a large weeaboo base here that doesn't want the murican pigdogs something something yadda yadda.
I just don't see the harm in letting western cartoons in at least, even if you dont want western live action shows or films.

Nothing against western cartoons or tv shows but just because there are alot of fans of something doesn't mean it should be included on a VG/anime tabs site. If the song is in the VG ost, then it's legit IMO.
As for the original intentions of Archard for the site, I know we shouldn't assume what someone's position is or was or will be but let me share my interpretation of what I think gametabs.net embodies.
I think Archard wanted to make a predominantly VG tab website, while keeping it open to the fanboys who love the VG spinoffs into anime and (eventually) anime in general, hence the name "game"tabs. Even today, there's like a couple hundred anime tabs? and 5000 plus VG tabs. Not that it matters but it further aids me in pointing out that the site is still predominantly geared toward VGs.
It's not like accepting new things is bad. It's just that sometimes you have to be critical of what you allow, in order to preserve the integrity of something.

Heh, I'm counting on that. It's funny how this topic came up right after I submitted a tab that falls under this category.
Yeah, a good human vocalist would make vocaloid songs better ninety-nine times out of a hundred. The bulk of vocaloid tunes aren't really my thing either; they tend to embrace the ultra-kawaii J-pop aesthetic that gets on my nerves after a while. Still, I'll admit that there are a couple of 'vocaloid songs' I like, and some have nice covers.

Well imagine you are a great musician + poet + illustrator both, but u can't sing. VOCALOID can fix it and marry all your skills for the best :D
I consider it as the most powerful "tool creation" for a songwriter who want test his/her creation. Use a voices 2 voices as duet, more as choir, ... etc can't u imagine all the possibilities :)

Anyway if the song is good, you ll can search later a (set of) human voice(s), but at least if it's not good, you knew it at beginning coz VOCALOID working as a kind of draft is able to reveal talent or mediocrity....
