The translator for the game had virtually no team, no time, and no space to work with, and so a lot of the nuance of the game was lost in the American version. So this girl not only ended up translating it from the Japanese, she gave lengthy footnotes to explain all the connections and how it affected the plot. In case you're interested, here is that. It's really quite fantastic, and a lot of the discussion is entertaining too. At some point, I thanked her for the translations, and told her I'd been thinking of doing up a music piece, and asked what were a few tracks she would like to hear. I ended up picking Strago's theme. |
