My acoustic cover of the Song of Storms. I slowed down the tempo a lot, simply because I cannot play that fast haha.

I don't know how to say this without being a douche but this is literally the 10th version of song of storms on here.

I'm kind of getting tired of the same songs.

I thought you did pretty good overall, but I do feel as though some of the magic of the song is lost when its played slower. There were also a couple of playing mistakes,but all in all you did a pretty good job. look forward to seeing more from you

@karathrow - In defense to the recorder and by your logic, I am suprised you didn't complain about how over covered Dr. Wily's Castle is when Link played it. As Oggirt said, it's because it's arranged differently that keeps it's interest value.

@Lemon - I feel like it's great slower, as it makes it feel more like an epic ballad. This kind of reminds me of Maikoi92's version, which is probably my favorite of the one's recorded.

In any case, you're both entitled to your opinions.

To the recorder, I like that touch you did at the end.

I came off as more of a dick than I meant to with that post. I was more posturing the idea of "do we care if there are 10 identical versions of this song?". I think if they are different arrangements or acoustic/electric then obviously no.

I guess partially it's a projection thing because I had planned to record this song a long time ago and realized there were HELLA recordings of this already so I didn't.

As for the link comment I did tend to groan when she did song of storms/sarias song. (sorry link!) There wasn't anything wrong with her recordings, but Idunno sometimes I wish we would get recordings for less popular games or whatnot.

I just think we could benefit from focusing on branching out to new things so we don't endlessly cover the same songs. (not that I've done anything worth a damn in that department)

Everyone always forgets about poor Vicio D:. In fact, I believe that's a large part of why he took his videos down. People started tabbing his shit and other people started recording covers. Soon enough, the covers of his videos had more views than his own original videos, and he took his own youtube life. Now I hear he plays his Windmill Hut song on the subway for 25 cents a pop. He also accepts moldy ham sandwiches and will throw in a free King Dedede riff if you don't mention me or Maikoi. Riches to rags.

Sorry I wasn't trying to imply that Maikoi created the arrangement or tab, simply that her recording was the best.
