DSheltonator is really a cool guy =)

I don't really like the dist rhythm part, main lead tone is nice ;-) but it's hard to make feel the epicness of this song.

you know the word epic only

you know the word epic only works to something on a large scale. "battles, Journey, Adventure". And Ghost in the shell was never anywhere near that when it comes to saving the world.

my brother says it all the time, just makes me wana punch him and the arrow in the knee jokers lol.

Maybe as i speack a different

Maybe as i speack a different language as you, the word "epic" can have a different meaning to me. Who cares anyway ?

This song just feels weird

This song just feels weird without the vocals honestly.

This was pretty good, but it

This was pretty good, but it needs more mixing work personally.

It's missing a lot of energy without detailed percussion. The tone is pretty nice, I enjoyed the leads.

It just seems incomplete currently.

U guys are such a tough crowd

U guys are such a tough crowd being that there's like No other real cover of this song anywhere but people playing with bad tone over the mp3 :) The only thing i dont have that the original does is random background noise and crazy arps in synth drowned so much in the mix that if i didnt say anything most people don't even know they are there.

We're just trying to say

We're just trying to say "that doesn't sounds that cool" but we don't say it's bad or that we can do better. This song is just hard to cover.

Just because others are doing something bad doesn't mean you should get 5 stars or glowing praise for doing it "less" bad. Or rather, I'm not saying it's bad but like Surreal said it does feel in a sense that something is missing. Maybe there's just not enough meat to the song without the vocals and extra synthy doodads but that's just how it feels.

I don't think anyone is legitimately trying to shit on you or tell you you did a bad job, but it would be a disservice to you to tell you someone thinks it's perfect if they don't. I won't pretend I'm not sensitive to criticism or whatnot, but people aren't out to get you man, relax!

I am relaxed lol U didnt see

I am relaxed lol U didnt see the smilies?
Im just pointing out that no1 ever comments on my videos for the most part.
Must have hit a sore spot if everyones jumping on me haha.

I don't know this song at

I don't know this song at all, I'm simply rating for your playing. It's great, lead and rhythm.

I suppose you could say it

I suppose you could say it feels a little incomplete, but personally I like sparse arrangements. That's a matter of taste, anyway.

What isn't a matter of taste is your rhythm. It doesn't gel into a song because you don't play in time.

If you play confidently and with good rhythm, you can get away with a lot of stuff. If you don't play confidently, then even if your music is otherwise good, people will think it sounds off and look for things to criticize.

My advice: figure out whether you need to work on your sense of rhythm, or whether you have a good sense of rhythm already but your technique is keeping you from making use of it.

(Sorry if this sounds mean--I'm not sure how to sugar-coat it.)

what parts? Te left side was

what parts?

Te left side was rather hard to pin point point due to most of it having tons of delay and effects that made it echo when there was no played note actually there. The right side was prob due to tons of recording lag that i couldnt fix with a simple drag over.

Well, record without echoes

Well, record without echoes if you can't play with echoes. (Or fix the echoes to the clock--they shouldn't be offbeat, so they shouldn't ever throw you off.) Fix your latency, and use hardware monitoring, not software.

If you think those are your problems, great--they're all easily fixable and you should do so before your next recording.

You wouldn't imagine all the

You wouldn't imagine all the random issues i had doing this recording. everything that couldve went wrong did. i use hardware Monitoring and I have a Great soundcard ( Emu 0404). Pc was having some issues maxing the CPU for no reason, Low volumes were clipping, random grounding noises, the works lol

I was actually more worried about getting a decent tone with this video more so then the rest. This was one of those songs that don't cover very well without 2000 million layers and random beats going on.

I don't personally think you

I don't personally think you need more layers or stuff. I think your arrangement and tone are nice.

EDIT: I guess I sound more negative than I mean to be. I'm focusing on the negative, because I'm trying to give constructive criticism, hehe. Sorry about that.

Ha, its ok. theres allot of

Ha, its ok. theres allot of layers, The guitars took about 8 tracks each to just get that tone, even a few more on the lead. The beat had 2 tracks and a few more to add effects only on certain parts and a few clean tracks and some so reverbed that it just added depth to the lead. and a string track and a guitar effect string track. So i had like 40 plus tracks! Tons of rendering and re rendering.

Im in graphic classes at school, Criticism comes with the trade! :) It's hard to get a real feel to what it will sound like on someone elses pc. I used headphones for th emost part but my sound card sounds better then other peoples and vise versa.
