I am thinking about recording myself on a more professional scale and wanted to start of by doing a medley of one of my all time favorite games "Mother 3." I have a rough idea of what I want to include. Most likely case is that I would start off with the first part of Porky's Theme(approx. 0:30 in) (You know that part that is repeated throughout the entire game.) Then from there one of the battle themes (BTW I do not want to even think about playing Mr. Batty Twist what-so-evur because to me it is such an off-putting theme since it's just the main like from one of the Batman movies)(approx. 2:00 in.) Then in the middle I am definitely DEFINITELY going to slow it all down and do acoustic versions of both MOTHER 3 Love Theme(3:10) and Gentle Rain(4:30). I intend to go once all the way through Gentle Rain then switch to a heavily distorted version of Hard Rain because it's clique and it is such an easy theme. Then I don't know what I'm going to do for the second to last piece. The last piece is for sure going to play Natural Killer Cyborg once all the way through and then have the square wave synth start playing before I begin a fade out. NKC is a truly powerful and amazing theme and hopefully it will sound just as amazing the way I have envisioned it.
I was wondering if the all-powerful internet had any feedback, suggestions/inputs, constructive criticism. or use this opportunity to talk about your first impressions of playing Mother 3 (I give you my permission though most of you probably don't need it).
Just in case you were wondering the point of these covers for me is to take feeling, memories, etc. and intensify them. Like when you listen to Gerudo Valley or one of the strong Overworld themes from The Legend of Zelda. If you played the games (especially so if you played it in you childhood) then these themes mean so much more to you than to someone who hasn't played them.
Anyways... Digression OVER.
