Lemoncobbler! I remember enjoying your tabs and recordings. Many of the regulars seem to still be around. I think there was a thread asking regular tabbers questions about their work, and a bunch of long-term players/tabbers showed up there. |

Hello, nice to see you back :D Well yeah as the contests and albums do not interest much people here anymore i moved to the VGCover reddit where i organize monthly cover contests and some album :) The original tune contest here still going on tho ;)

This site seems to be a tiny bit busier these days IMO. A year or so ago, it was especially dead but ever since it came back online after that long while it was gone during the holiday season, I've seen more posts than ever. Maybe it was a case of us not knowing what we had until it was gone? I'm trying to post more stuff myself. I thought for a long time that this site is pretty dead but then it kind of occurred to me that by not ever posting anything or trying to interact with any of you, I was in fact making it more dead, so here I am. I think we should all be more encouraging with each other and let each other know when we see something posted that we like. It is always so easy to forget to upvote things or leave a comment, even though it takes 2 seconds of our time, but it really makes that person's day(or week!), and that kind of feedback engenders us to keep the passion for our craft. Also, that kind of positivity is one thing that will help build a community like this. That said, I'm totally guilty of having several tabs bookmarked that I haven't yet upvoted :X(i'll get around to it). I also recommend you all go to the subreddit VGcovers if you would like more community interaction. Although, I've never personally had any success at posting things there, it does seem to work for some people. It is hard to get any upvotes if you don't have a youtube video, i guess. Also they seem to favor heavy metal and rock over there so IDK if I'm wasting time posting solo guitar lol, oh well. Some one will notice me one day and it will make it worth it. |
