You need to revise this.

Hmmm, I personally have found little difficulty with that stretch, though after 5 run throughs my hand does begin to cramp up :) I don't think it's necessary to change though, being just a little harder than the chord used in lonlonjp's ffviii battle theme:

Thanks alot diralark for the revise.

After reading my post it may have sounded like I was being and asshole by telling you to revise it I apologize if it seemed that way.

@Bahel: yeah bro it would be best if this was revised for the sheer fact that it wont be over looked because of a long stretch this way there is no complaints from people who cant pull it off, but cmon you got to be honest a e7 to E2 is a little rough for the small handed who know how to play very well. If we can correct the problem why not.

@Bahel: you made 5 runs through this arrangement you must be pretty skilled how long you been playing for?

I got to admit the 8 and 3 stretch from lonlonjp is alot easier to pull off for me anyways then that 7 and 2. Guess it all boils down to "different strokes for different folks".

You have a point. I wasn't considering people of normal size :)

I actually have only 8 months of fingerstyle experience. However, I was playing electric guitar a year before, and bass 2 years before that. Also, I've spent hours a day practising since finding this site, which has made learning solo guitar a breeze ;)

I don't think you need really big hands. You just need to turn your hand slightly sideways, then raise your index finger up. That works easier than fanning your fingers apart. (You do also need to learn to fan your fingers apart without pulling them back. Fanning them apart and pulling them back are two different muscle groups, but most people only know how to use them together, which doesn't work for guitar.)

I can reach 2xxxx7 comfortably, and 2xxxx9 uncomfortably. I don't have really long fingers (though they're not small either!) but I'm used to this stuff from bass and piano too :-) In fact, there's piano music that spans quite a lot further than I can reach, so my hands aren't that huge. (Rachmaninoff, I'm looking at you!)
