Votes for tab requests

I think it would be nice if members could vote for existing tab requests so we know which one is most wanted. So there would be a new column in the request section next to the # of replies that shows how much many people want that song to be tabbed.

Something like this site, where people are requesting anime songs to be uploaded.

There are too many requested tabs in the requests section that you don't even know where to start.

That's an excellent idea. I originally created the request section with the intention of doing something like this. It will be looked into.

Wow - that's really nice idea - voting for requests can really improve this section. Btw I like those last changes - GameTabs is really growing up!

Edit:
Archard, how hard would it be to add some kind of refreshing/reloading after vote? (for example using ajax?).

Edit2:
Some of voted by me requests are doubled at list. I'm not sure if it's bug or feature so I just wanted to let you know :]

It does use ajax already to cast the vote, but it doesn't update the number of votes in an ajax fashion, but I could program it do that probably.

Ok, next part of things I noticed:
-arrow icon is above text (when item from list is not voted by me - probably something in css to correct)
-it would be nice if there was possibility to switch sort between votes and date od adding them - instead of switching all list by links at the top - just but both columns and two sort types insted of two differents lists... of course if that's not too complex to code ;)

Yeah I agree it's better with

My only concern is that new requests will go unnoticed, but overall I agree it's probably better to have it on a single page.

Now to get the vote count to change when you click the link and I think we'll be in business.

You could make tabs for

You could make tabs for "Newly Made Requests" and one for "Most Popular" or etc. -- or even if you'd like to see them arranged that way so they're all on the same page

That way we can see the newest requests first so they don't get ignored. Then if we want to see the most voted, we can change the sorting ourselves.

Alright, we'll try it out and

Alright, we'll try it out and see how it goes.... if only I could figure out how to make the click sorting go in descending order on the first click...

You're going to need to change the link address so that sort=asc is sort=desc when order!=count, and vice versa of that for the second click, or something like that however it is coded. But you probably already know that...you just need to find where this code is located

Yeah, I found it and changed

Yeah, I found it and changed it. It applies to all tablesorts though, which I don't want. I'll see if I can turn it into a setting or something.

I think that would mean that sorting by alphabet will start from z to a.
