The rhythm is weird on the bass because there's a time signature change. It's three measures of 4/4, one of 3/8, then two of 4/4 again. It's like this:

  First four measures:

  8x E
  8x E
  8x E
  3x E  <--  fourth measure is cut short

  Last two measures:

  8x F# 
  3x F#
  5x G

I used to play a lot of Pantera - great rhythms in those riffs, but haven't touched it for a couple of years. Don't really wanna look at timings to much, I hear people talking about 7/16 timing and I just go 'eh?'. :|

I don't want maths to be a part of the guitar, since I don't like normal maths. Playing by feel is the way I like it.

The bass on this MK is pretty simple tho, isn't it :)
