I totally agree, and NGE is the 4th most overrated anime imo. :| EDIT: Well there also are Dragon Ball (Z), One Piece, Pokemon and Inuyasha (surprisingly this one wasn't mentioned yet) So yeah, every anime with more than 50 episodes deserves one spot among the most overrated shows. NGE doesn't have that many episodes, so it's abit special. :p |

I actually didn't like clannad that much. I stopped someone around ep 11 of season 2. It just seems empty and progresses so slow I couldn't take it. I think it was the same for the first kanon and air. But air almost made me cry so props for that. Don't know if id still cry now, I watched air too many years ago. As for overrated, bleach and naruto used to be good at some point where I would say that it wasn't overrated. Bleach was only good around ep 40-50 and everything went downhill from there. Naruto was good at some various places, but it did start getting slow which is why I'm not watching it right now. Now evangelion is pretty overrated. I actually don't even see why it's that good and they make it like impossible to understand. There wasn't a point in the anime where I thought, man, this is awesome. I didn't really like full metal alchemist that much, all I remember from it is how dark the anime seemed. I still can't remember how I made it through 50 of those eps. To add to the overrated animes...fruits basket. I guess it's an anime aimed at girls, which is probably why I didn't like it. Mash mentioned Baccano, and I gotta say, that anime kept me entertained. It's one of those unique kinds of anime that you don't see very often. Things just keep hitting you one after another. At first I never watched it because the beginning showed that it was american themed, but I ended up watching it a little later and I gotta say it, it was great. All of this is just my opinion so don't bash me =) |

Naruto has a good story, and it's one of my favorite animes(?) but the only thing I don't like is that it can get reaaaally draggy sometimes. They put so many flashbacks into a lot of the episodes as filler! I bet if they were removed and only new material was left then the number of total episodes for the series would go down by half. Oh, and I forgot to add Great Teacher Onizuka to my favorites list. He's the greatest teacher in history!
