Not that it wouldn't be great, but given the relative few active members here (and I couldn't even count myself really), coupled with my (perhaps foolish) assumption that most are probably students or at least not financially endowed to cover great distances, again coupled with the enourmous geographical spread you are bound to find between the members here, it sounds unlikely to me. But yeah, would probably be awesome. |

Meeting up at a place like that would be a pretty cool idea. I can't make it, but that's not to say I couldn't ever make it sometime in the future. The thing that has my interest perked is the whole open mic and band thing. For some reason I can definitely picture the members here who can go performing pieces for duet, trio, quartet, however many as are there. Hell, make some free gametabs.net t-shirts to hand out and you've got some serious publicity for the site. |

Plus that'd be one more excuse to go to Europe. I'm in! ;) Also, I like the idea of a meet-up of some kind. It's just difficult for me right now with the new job. I'm still trying to figure out how my finances are going to look. I live in the middle of the country (Oklahoma) so I would doubtless have to fly somewhere to get to one of these things. And since I'd have to make a fairly big trip, it might be difficult to justify unless we latched on to Magfest, PAX or something like that (probably Magfest, since their site claims to have a big focus on game music). |

oh lawdy. I just spawned a concept idea. Suppose that we do somehow get a booth at magfest or whatever convention. Suppose we pull us a sponsor or two through some miracle. Sponsor covers expenses for like 3 slots (people) to get to the convention. We choose different people to fill each slot, etc etc. It's a pipe dream, but hey, stranger stuff has happened. |
