General Gasslefield, accused of high treason, is sentenced to death by the court-martial. He is allowed to make a final statement, after which he will be shot if the statement is false or will be hung if the statement is true. Gasslefield makes his final statement and is released. What could he have said?

i heard that riddle from a friend vic. :) SalemJake stared through the dirty soot-smeared window on the 22nd floor of the office tower. Overcome with depression he slid the window open and jumped through it. It was a sheer drop outside the building to the ground. Miraculously after he landed he was completely unhurt. Since there was nothing to cushion his fall or slow his descent, how could he have survived the fall? |

clever clever, I spent a good deal of time trying out different forms of ciphers until I realized it was music related and then gave myself a nice face slap for not seeing it earlier. |

Hint: Auri is correct in realizing the numbers equal musical notes. The question is what piece of music do they make? If you play it, it doesn't seem to make a recognizable tune. The picture "tells" you how to play it properly. That will make it a piece recognizable and that is the answer to this puzzle. The piece will fit the puzzle, so it's not something random. |

I wonder what the "Enigma" at the top means. I've tried putting some different things into an enigma machine simulator but no dice. I'm also thinking there has to be significance in the upside down I, M and A, and the titled, glowing G in the middle.

Well the titled G was a bad font choice, it did that on it's own. But the fact that ENIGMA is inverted around G? Yes this is a very important observation. |

Do you know what time it is? It's time to shift the lump of mush in your head into overdrive! Post a riddle or puzzle in this thread. The first one to guess the correct answer then has to post one, and so on and so forth. Bonus points if you make up your own!
Here's a picture/story puzzle I came up with. I will post the picture and then the text that goes along with it under that. You're allowed to use any resources at your disposal so get crackin'!
Bigger Picture: http://two.xthost.info/kabukibear2/puzzle1.jpg
"I walked into his study while the party carried on downstairs. Glancing quickly around I saw bookshelves lined with many books, ranging from fantasy to history to game theory. A fancy chess table made of marble stood between two high backed leather chairs. Atop his desk sat a manner of computer I had never seen before. No matter,I thought, according to my sources the information I needed was on there. I stared down at the screen saver, a dizzying blur of green lines. Sitting open near the keyboard was an old, tattered piece of parchment with strange gibberish written upon it. It read:
"e4Nf3Nf3Qb3Qg6Nc6C3d3b4_Nge7Qb3_Nge7_Bxb4_
Qxb5Bxb4c3Nge7Bc4Re1_0-0Bc4Qg6exd4c3d3,
Bxb4Bc4_Qxb5e4Re1_Qb3Ba3Qg6_
Re1Bc4b5Bc4d3Nge7Bxb4_Qf6Qg6Bc4Re1c3Nc6Bc4d3Nge7"
Frowning, I peered at it a moment longer, then tossed it aside with a shake of my head. Looking back at the computer screen I pressed a key. Suddenly, the screen halted, the green lines actually rows of numbers, and a soft mechanical voice said,
"Password please."
Password? No one had mentioned anything about needing a password. I listened downstairs to be sure the sounds of talking and laughter continued before looking back at the screen. "I don't have time for this," I grumbled and hastily typed in "Password"
The machine made a whizzing sound as it processed my input when all of a sudden I heard the click of the study door's lock. I spun around when the soft computer voice spoke again.
"Password incorrect. 3 minutes until security lockdown. Enter correct password immediately"
Panicking, I ran to the door and tugged on the handle. No good, it was shut tight. I turned back to the computer as it slowly counted down in that soft, menacing voice. 2:59, 2:58, 2:57...
I looked around the room for any other escape route, but there were none. The computer screen stared back at me coldly, it's screen stopped on the numbers:
01010100 01110010 01111001 00100000 01110000 01101100 01100001 01111001 01101001 01101110 01100111 00100000 01010100 01101000 01100101 00100000 01000101 01110110 01100101 01110010 01100111 01110010 01100101 01100101 01101110 00100000 01000111 01100001 01101101 01100101 00001101 00001010 01010100 01110010 01101111 01101111 01110000 00100000 01101100 01101111 01100011 01100001 01110100 01101001 01101111 01101110 01110011 00100000 01100001 01110010 01100101 00100000 01110100 01101000 01100101 00100000 01101011 01100101 01111001
The pattern jogged an old memory loose. If only I could remember what it meant...
I took a second look around the study, knowing I'd have to look over every detail to make sure I didn't miss anything. Surely there must be a clue to the answer lying aroung here somewhere...
"1:59, 1:58..."
I was running out of time and I only had one more shot at this. Can you help me figure out the password before it's too late?"
