Donkey Kong Country 2 - Stickerbrush Symphony

This is my first attempt at trying to make some sort of an arrangement... To he honest I'm not really sure what I'm doing with this or where it's going as I have a hard time figuring out proper note/rest durations out and what notes sound nice together, so I'm constantly doing a trial and error thing, but I am slowly starting to get the hang of it. There's definitely some things that need to be edited, but I'm still not finished with the entire song. I think I may want to go into chords after where it ends.

Any advice, criticisms, comments, etc. would be appreciated.

It's in GP5 format, since I haven't started on a text file yet.

Here it is

GP5 has an export option to export to "ASCII" which is a text file.

Don't worry about it. Most of us congregate at the shoutbox on the main forum page so don't hesitate to ask there to get some quicker answers.

I like it so far, there's another underlying melody in the song that would be awesome if you added as well as a the louder lead melody that appears a bit into the song.

I'm unsure if you're doing this for all solo guitar or for multiple guitars, but there's a lot of creative potential in this.

Keep working at it.

Okay I'll keep that in mind. I'm pretty new to the site in regards of message boards, comments, the shoutbox and all that haha.

I want this to be a solo guitar piece. Right now I'm just working on the parts that stand out most to me. I plan on going back to fill in the rest once those are done.

thank you.

I just have to fix some of the note durations and some of the chords and get the next half of the song done.

I'm impressed! These ambient pieces are very hard to arrange. You've done a good job.

I made two tempo changes in bar 17 and 35. I think it sounds better now, what do you think :) ?

I really like how this is turning out. Keep it up, I'm sure you'll come up with something cool for the second part.

@ Bohman
I like the tempo change at 35, so I changed what I had. I prefer what I originally had at 17 though

Anyway I finished. I'm not crazy about 56-59 which was basically all I needed to work on since the last update. I just completely drew a blank for them heh.
