This thing is totally wrong :) Justin helped me out with note identification yesterday on the bass line, and it changes things significantly. Glad I asked now instead of after trying to arrange a song with the bass all wrong, but I wasn't even close. |

This is the piece I'm working on for submission to the SNES theme project.
Original Song: Star Night Festival (MP3)
First 8 Bars transcribed in GuitarPro: Star Night - First 8 (GP5)
The piece is in F# Major (by my transcription,) so I'm transposing it up a half to G Maj, which I'm more comfortable with on guitar.
You'll note the bass and harmony are both 2-bar ostinato patterns. I plan to give both some time to stand (mostly) on their own in my arrangement, with the following basic structure:
If I can get the dynamics right, I would hope to perform the first lead line (another 2-bar repeat) like:
But I have trouble getting decent volume for legato stuff that low on the neck.
MP3 will come up tonight with my idea of performance for these parts, and likely further writing/tabs as I work on ideas. I just wanted to get this thread started so I don't forget.
