Sorry guys! The server has had a lot of issues related to shockingly high spam traffic. I'm doing my best to keep it stable but I'm working 60-70 hour weeks right now so it's been difficult. It looks ok for now.

I have a script running which deletes spam, and lately it's hit upwards of 500+/day. The average seems to be about 200/day, but they sign up a lot of accounts they don't ever use and they seem to hit the page without posting, so I'm guessing accesses from the spambots are in the thousands/day.

I'll send you a PM with a couple ideas.

The traffic has been so high the logs have been eating up all the disk space, causing some database corruption issues. I've modified the logging to be able to cope with this high load. I have a module installed for catching spam. It's not really doing the job...

Hey Ash were does the GameTabs server physically reside? Is it on a server provided by a company with certin specs, or is it just sitting in your closet?

I'm a Datacenter technician and my clients toss out lots of perfectly good equipment that can be repourposed.

Hah I saw you're explanation, I was mainly curious if gametabs servers needed some equipment.
The Oil and Gas company's I work for have to much money and were tossing out a few HP DL380 G8's. lol

Just so you know, though, "People Seized With Life" isn't the actual song title. It's a mistranslation made by someone who didn't actually know any Japanese, but they wanted to upload the soundtrack to the internet anyway, so they came up with a bunch of titles, and that's what a lot of people ended up knowing the songs by…

I think that's why there are so many garbage titles for Chrono Cross songs online, even a zillion years later.

I'm so glad to see this place was only down temporarily. I just got back into playing guitar after a few years hiatus, and when I saw the irc channel sitting empty for days while the site was offline I feared the worst.
