New guitar?

I've had this electric guitar for a long time, and I've been thinking of getting another one. The problem is, I haven't used my amp besides one-off fun times for almost 4 years, so naturally it sounds somewhat like shit. However, I've tried acoustic guitars and they just feel too big and sharp, the wideness.

Is there a guitar out there for me? One that sounds nice unplugged but isn't stupidly big? Plugs not necessary.

You should take a look at some hollow body and semi-hollow body electrics.
Depending on your budget you could go for an Ibanez Artcore, Gretsch Electromatic or an Epiphone ES range guitar. Or If you have a bit more to spend the a Gibson ES, Gretsch 6120 or Falcon or a Guild.
There are other good hollow bodys but these are the most common and easiest to find in a music shop.

Go to a music store and try some guitars. You can find some shallow/slender-body ones to try, or maybe a jazz guitar.

Geh, what a nightmare. I went to a store, was ridiculed by the floorman for being a wimp. Nice guy eh?

But it was a good venture, I discovered classical guitars feel like touching Jesus and sound fantastic on the side, plus they're tiny or at least have the option to be. I tried to try semi/hollow bodied guitars, but I couldn't really get an ear for them because there was this kid who wanted to play some generic metal with everything turned up in the middle of the floor, and there wasn't a quite room I could take the guitar into. Thanks for your advice guys.
