Anyone on this forum IN a band?

I sure am. :)

We play what we call "Dork Metal", but it's a mix of alternative rock and all kinds of metal.

We're going to be covering "Gerudo Valley" from LoZ: OoT...

...which is kind of lame for me, because I play bass, but hey...ZELDA!

I want to be in a band.... but I don't know anyone else who both has musical talent and is serious about playing in a group. Everyone I know is so lazy :|

Hm, sure. It's not a "garage band" kind of thing, but it's a musical group nonetheless.

That sucks archard, I know what you mean though. Luckily, some of my friends played drums and guitar, and we just chose to start something.

Yeah..I just got into this shitty pop/melodic metal band. I write all the A7X/Atreyu/BFMV shit for them...but hey, It's a good way to get noticed. I'm also in a "solo" project full of industrial/synth-pop goodness, but that's not a band :D.

I'm sort of in a band. I say sort of because its just me (lead) a rhythm guitarist, and a bassist. Our bassist just got his first bass so he really really really sucks.

We also have a possible drummer that just got some drums, but I haven't played anything with him yet.

I'm in a band, but so far we played one song xD We did perform at school though, we did the song Dani California from the Red Hot Chili Peppers and I did the solo! :D
Now we are practicing another song and we're gonna perform that at school aswell.
I'm the lead guitarist.

I'm in a band as the lead saxophonist with some friends that I went to school with. We used to play at the pub some nights, but we don't do that anymore. We stick to the garage. Why? Because we kept getting jealous that everyone else was getting bladdered and we had to remain sober to remain 'listenable'. I remember one night we more or less said 'that's it' and bought some drinks while on stage. Jamie's wife got it all on her phone, and we sounded awful that night.

I have a band. But I'm far from being a good guitarist, but I practice a lot (2 hours a day, poor neigbours).
We also had another guitarist who was really talented but also lazy (and a moron), so we kicked him out of the band.
The dude was against stage performens and never practiced the songs we were going to play! Com'on!

My little brother plays piano (He's freaking good at it for his age, and I don't use the word "freaking" lightly) I have friends who play violin, bass, clarinet, drums, cello, trombone, guitar, guitar guitar and guitar. I'm not really in an official band but some of us will get together and play now and then.

I'm hardly band worth as of yet, but I suppose later on I may consider it once I develop into a better player and become a bit more confident.

I think I'd aim for the whole Stoner Rock direction; I do rather like it. But then again, my tastes may change in time so... *shrug*

Yes, sir. I'm in a comedy band I started called "No Pants Tuesday". I am currently writing songs about funny stuff. I do things like "The Cell Phone Song" (makes fun of texting, ringtones, stuff like that) "Yoga mom" (new age-y parents) "My Friend Tom In Vietnam" (a song about a two guys getting stoned in 'Nam and hallucinating about midgets stealing your legs and stuff)and I'm now writing "If I Were A Kajillionaire" (A song about the stupid stuff I'd do if I were the owner of kajillion dollars).
