"Zola's Theme" from BD and "The Sunlit Earth" SotC

I figured it might be worth posting what I was working on with these songs. The first one, "The Sunlit Earth" I've been working on off and on for a few weeks now, just need to get to finish it, and I wanted to get some feedback on it, particularly on the bass notes - I think they add something, but unless you really emphasize them, they really don't stand out much, and they can be really hard to play in a lot of situations.
As for "Zola's Theme", I just randomly started that today, and I like it, except the fifth/sixth measures, which don't quite sound right. The eighth measure also won't sound right, because it's currently incomplete, it just doesn't sound quite right to stop after the eighth measure ACTUALLY ends.
