To any of that you live in Florida and can get to Orlando, you should come to Nerdapalooza. I'll be performing in the Careless Juja Live Band that Careless managed to put together. It will consist of drums, bass, accordion, glockenspiel, 2 piano players, 2 electric guitars, and possibly a few guests for certain songs. I believe we're playing 9 video game cover songs and 1 tv show theme cover.

Nerdapalooza goes from October 18th-20th.

Check out the bands that will be there: http://nerdapalooza.org

Hmm, I don't know if I'm supposed to give away our set list at this point, but I'll say which systems each song was from.

Two songs from NES games. Three songs from PC games (one of them went multiplatform later). One N64 game. One GameBoy game. One DS game. And one SNES game.

If somebody records us and puts it on YouTube, I'll be sure to link it here.

Dude that's rad-iculous, Juja!

I live like 2 hours north of Orlando but I've yet to make it out to Nerdapalooza.
My homie, that lives there, went last year.
Might see if he's going and come check it out bro.

I still find it hard to believe myself. When Careless first started talking to me about playing a live show, I just sort of disregarded it. I was like "Uhh, there are only two of us, so we can't exactly do a live show." But then he somehow managed to round up a bunch of other musicians he knew to play live with us. For example, Descendants of Erdrick's former drummer and bass player are playing with us, and their former flute player may join us for a song or two as well.

In case you've never heard of Descendants of Erdrick:

You should definitely try to make it if you can. Aside from the big bands that everybody knows, The Returners are going to be there, and they do some pretty sweet game covers, like these:

Anyway, if you do end up making it, I think we're playing Saturday early morning. This is our first (and maybe only) performance ever, so they're putting us early in the day.

That's so tight man. I know

That's so tight man. I know of Descendants of Erdrick. I've actually been sort of following that Spectrum of Mana album they're on and I saw that dude Careless on there as well.
Dude I'm diggin' The Returners.

I actually might be able to make it. I'll talk to my friend about tickets and all that jazz.
I'll let you know mandigue! <-- I just can't stop listening to this haha it's so chill

I guess my friend isn't going. He's going on a vacation or something with his wife. So I can't stay at his place haha

I was thinking of maybe coming out for the day but idk exactly how the ticket situation works haha.
Can I get a cheap daily ticket?
EDIT: I see it might be 20 bucks for individual days. Not that bad :-)

Rehearsal recording.

Videos of us playing haven't popped up yet, but we do have this audio recording from our rehearsal session the day before we played:

Unfortunately, we kind of botched the Layton song live due to not being able to hear cues from each other on stage.

I guess I should also plug the kickstarter that Careless started. It's mainly just to get some high quality live drums recorded:

I still haven't seen any videos of us actually performing pop up, but I made this guitar syncing video of our rehearsal audio recording of the Game of Thrones theme. The end of the video has a picture of us all on stage at least.

*edit*

Careless basically made the same type of video out of our Professor Layton rehearsal, but he recorded accordion on top of it, which really helps since accordion plays a lot of lead in that song:

Unfortunately, we really messed up the Professor Layton song live. And I had a pretty embarrassingly bad start on Bloody Tears. There were some other annoying mess ups in Warcraft, Game of Thrones, and probably some other songs as well. We only got to practice once the day before, and it was pretty hard to hear each other on stage. My previous post has recordings of Professor Layton and Game of Thrones from our practice session that we didn't mess up horribly.
