Origin of your Username

I am the user, Lybaerd

I only checked on the first page of GD to see if this has been started but I don't think so?
If not, post about why your username is what it is. On a bunch of forums I've seen some odd ones,
So makes you wonder..

Mine is very simple.
Two things I've been called by friends.
One friend named me Outlaw for my style and wearing a bandanna to work.
And pretty much every one says my hair style makes me look like a lion.
And I used japanese forms of the words.

Autoro-Outlaw, Just shortened Autoro to Auto, to sound like "Out-o"(No reference to cars as some think).
Raion-...self explanatory in japanese there's the forms, Raion and Shishi for Lion. I prefer Raion.

I thought I had ripped it off from something. I spent two days looking for the source and didn't find one, so I stuck with Enterim. A week later, I found some really obscure thing I'd read with a character named "Anserdim". Not that similar.

@Yggdrasil: Yes! Mithos is not only the best boss, but the best character in the whole game, in my opinion. -->

My name came from when I first discovered the internet and the wonders of RuneScape and was trying to find a username that wasn't taken. I was also heavily dosed with anime and Japanese at the time (an oft-suffered side effect of the discovery of the internet). So I used the Japanese word for fox, threw fox in at the end, then closed my eyes and hit two numbers on the keypad. I still use it because it's habit. I like all my accounts to match.

I used to go with the nickname "Domestos" for quite awhile before switching to irvoke123. Nowadays I'm officially irvoke123. It was my email address during the Domestos period (it's still actually, I just switched service providers from jippii.fi to hotmail.com) so I thought it was kind of logical to pick that up when I was trying to come up with a new nickname. Now, the word "irvoke" doesn't actually mean anything (atleat not in any language I know of), it's just supposed to be a derivation of the Finnish words "irvikuva" and "irvokas", which would translate as "antic" and "grotesque" in English. Then I just added the numbers 123 to the end to make it more unique. With "Domestos" I encountered a lot of sites where my nickname, and usually some alterations aswell, were already taken by someone so that's why I came up with irvoke123, due to it's "meaninglessness" and, hopefully, uniqueness. I have seen a few "irvoke"s here and there now, though, which I find quite amusing since I really thought I was the first one on planet Earth to think of that word. =P

My name comes in two parts, both of which show how much of a geek I am.

Most people can guess the second part, Manga, which is a comic book from Japan, ranging in styles from 3 frame newspaper print to full novel sized picture books, usually in black and white with occasional colorizations for special printing or celebratory issues and covers

The other part, Atuko, is the hard one, and makes people go "huh?" It's actually two things I found wrapped into one. It's both an anagram of Otaku, which I proudly claim the title, and will defend to the death the sacred holding of the name from those that have only watched TVanime and rave about why Naruto or Goku can defeat anyone, though they've never seen what Hellsing, an Eva, or even the mighty Dragon Slave or Ragna Blade from a cute little sorceress named Lina Inverse can do. Try me...I've convinced the most childish TVanime goer they know nothing of anime and the Ways of the Otaku (in other words, I have no life). The second reason I am known as Atuko is due to the wicked awesome game Thunder Force IV (known as Lightening Force: Quest for the Darkstar in the US) for the Sega Genesis. The voice actor, who only spoke the names of the upgraded weapons like Hunter and Freeway, was known in the credits as Atuko, and after many years of being forgotten, I have adopted the name in hopes that his legacy in that game will live on. The most interesting part about that game was that everyone on the credits had a nickname, with no actual name given (at least on the english version, still looking for a full Japanese version) so you got to see some very odd names. I hope that some people that have names like Sephiroth1987 or ilikecheese will scour these names and attempt to use one of them. They are very interesting.

If anyone wants to check them out, and get a new nickname or at least a s/n, the credits are at

Yeah, but how many people have used names like 'blank', 'insert name here', 'whatever you think of', etc etc, as a screen name. The best part about thinking really hard about a screen name is when you think of a really good one, not only does everyone think your at least somewhat original and not just another bandwagon, trend-following, boob-tube watching, brainless internet user (not directing this at anyone in particular, just an over all insult to all the people that have used "DoomSlayer####" in the past), but you don't have to think about it ever again. It's yours and the more original it is, the less chance people will steal it...or at least you have the satisfaction of being the only one without a number attached to the end, the immediate tip-off that someone else has the name.

And books are cool...

Nah, no offense taken. I understand the feeling. I have to deal with people that rant about things that no one cares about on a daily basis, and have been for the last...since I was born. I really hate it when people give the seven paragraph long speech about A. something only locals know or B. something 90% of people have written off as useless.

However, if you ever decide to change your name, let me know...I have a list of names, as well as a generator for just such an occasion. >^_^< Current favorite I'm throwing around, My Home Papa - Director of Thunder Force IV. I thought it was cool...

I've written pages upon pages about good usernames. Don't get me started.

It all stemmed from my growing hatred of the username I continue to use for simplicity's sake on most other internet activities, X-vid. I began using Enterim for music, although now it's stretching into online gaming.
