Chrono Trigger - Wind Scene solo arrangement (recording)

Joined: Dec 31 1969

This is the fifth time I've recorded this song in the last six months or so, and I hate to say it, but I'll probably record it again when my acoustic arrives. That'll probably be a video though. The maximum attachment file size is 256 KB, so I have it FTPed temporarily at http://x-vid.comixmd.com/uploads/music/Wind_Scene_solo.mp3

That blog thing isn't up yet, but after cracking the monitor on my laptop, I needed a bit of a stress reliever, so I popped up Guitar Pro 5 and started making one for my Wind Scene arrangement. It was a bit lacking in depth, so I made harmony for a reed organ! I still have about 10 measures left, but here's a midi thus far: http://x-vid.comixmd.com/uploads/music/Wind%20Scene.mid

SCREW THE OTHER ONE

Finally played it on an acoustic. It's a bit choppy, but that's the problem with doing it in one take. I've made the transition to Ogg Vorbis, but I can probably provide it in mp3 if needed.

I recorded it with a built-in mic I tore out from a 1999 monitor, as my current mic is borken. The cord is only about eight inches long, so I had to lean in really close and Scotch tape the microphone to the body of my guitar. The sound was pretty quiet, so I amplified it artificially, resulting in the streaks of my hand being really, really loud.

ogg vorbis is a great format but not supported very well. Can you convert it to MP3 please?

The quality is slightly worse and the file size is 1.9 MB instead of 1.6 MB. :O
