Joyful side. A dark theme makes no sense unless we are looking up a tab for a shooter game, which there are VERY few tabs for.

I am currently working with a freelance web designer guy on the new layout for this site. I was wondering, what type of layout do you guys what to see? One that is more dark and badass looking, or one that's more on the lighter joyful side?
