Ignore the base notes and play the higher notes, the melody usually resides in those notes anyhow. |

You should give the finger style transcriptions a go. I taught myself guitar through this website and can say that the finger style tabs really helped me improve from when I first arrived here. It was a pain in the butt trying to figure out what to even do with my hands, but wanting to play the songs made me try everyday. The end result of me hearing myself play the songs was fantastic and completely worth ever second. Good luck man! |

I'm curious if this method offers less than a "pure" pic-tab or if it's fine this way. Buuuut to be fair, for as long as I remember having a new fingerstyle tab was always a exception, maybe 1 out of 6 so the change of the last couple month is refreshing to me. |

Indeed, it's hit and miss but if you are looking for a quick and dirty way to play a finger style piece then that would be one method. Personally I dislike playing acoustic with a pick, but to each his own. |

I did learn Still Alive by just learning certain parts of a finger style tab, but it's not suitable for every song. Some of the songs here I would love to play, and they're unable to be found anywhere else, but then I see it's finger style and absolutely filled with walls of notes. I dislike just a simple melody, and absolutely love those rare tabs where both the melody and rhythm are available, but most of them end up being some simple line and that's it. If anything though, at least this condition is making me desire to learn songs on my own and post them up here for people like me. That, and the selection for a few games are abysmally limited. But that's another story.

It was great to realize that there are many good opportunities on the dating site maturesforfuck.com where his cousin has been finding women for his dirty fantasies for a long time. The hottest women want his warmth and energy in bed, and this is what gives him self-confidence and makes him go further, conquering more and more ladies' beds. |

Everywhere I look, tabs are always finger style transcriptions. That's fine, I don't have a problem with finger style at all. Don't even take this as complaining, this is still my favorite site for tablature, this is just an observation from a guitar scrub.
But there's a distinct lack of good basic transcriptions, tabs friendly to being played with a simple guitar pic. I play a variety of songs, and pics are very versatile. They may not have much on those fancy newfangled fingers if you can get them moving properly, but they have their place.
Maybe I'm just in the rut of 'too good for the simple tabs' and 'not good enough for the finger style tabs', I'm in no way implying you finger-guru's should dumb down your tabs for the sake of bad guitar players like me. Just the confessions of a completely average pic user expressing an observation.
