Generally I wouldn't do this, but if anyone plays feel free to add me on the whole PSN thing. I'm kind of trying to get into the online aspect of it, so why the hell not start with friending people from here lol.

PSN name is chelsearare.

And if you don't play, add me anyway? :p

I do have AIM, but I'd probably just talk about food and drink and guitar.

Not to sound generic or like part of the crowd, but I really liked the game a lot. Hell it's my debut online game for PS3 :P. Never really was big on that kinda stuff since I've always been more of a solo gamer since I was like 3 lol.

I honestly think the whole zombie theme is getting way overplayed these days, but it's always had a little bit of my attention since before it got blown up (does that make me sound hipster enough?).

Luckily for me the whole zombie hype just flew past me wiithout getting me involved, Resident Evil and Silent Hill are the only representative games I've ever played so far. It mostly seems like PvE and a rather stupid massacre anyway, wanted to try the walking dead though.
With a ps3 I could also try Demons Souls, does the franchise count as zombie games btw ?

There are zombies, but I don't really think of it as a "zombie survival" game. I don't really know how else to put it.

The show changed directors like 3 times due to bad communication and AMC being a shitty network.

A lot of the emotionally gripping/heartwrenching shit could not have ever been put on TV especially a network like AMC. They would have been better off pitching it to HBO.

I really ask that people not judge the comics or the game by the god-awful tv show. I've read all the comics, beaten the game and watched all the show and the show is just terrible. It's rage-inducingly bad. Some of the characters are absent, the relationships are drastically changed, personalities are completely changed.

It got so bad that one of the fan-favorite characters has become the most loathed character on the show. I think the character asked to be written off because of the amount of hatemail the actress got.

Finally, one thing I will stress: The Walking Dead is not about zombies. The name is a reference to the survivors themselves. Zombies are just a backdrop, the franchise has always been about drama. It's really not any different than any other natural disaster type series. You could replace the zombies with a flood or nuclear fallout or whatever doomsday situation you can think of and the story would be the same. Also the comics are pretty old now so I don't think the series is a part of some "zombie trend"

This quote makes you sound more hipster than anything else.

There are so many things that I liked "before they were cool" that I think I should make a list. It can be fucking depressing, loving something that nobody cares about, and then when you finally move on to something else, suddenly your first thing is the thing, and all the cool people are with it.

By the way, I've watched a fair amount of the show or at least enough to guess what happened previously and what most likely will happen. Pacing is absolutely terrible and to me there's only 2, maybe 3, likable characters.

From what I get, the show completely strayed away from the comic's plot right from the start. I dunno. Maybe I'll read the comics one of these days. My opinion of the show can only go up from my perception of the show, right? lol

If anyone's interested, my skype name is also the same as it is here.
