Welcome to the site. Good to see a new face around here. What kind of guitar did you get? BTW, I actually made a topic called Newbie Introduction Thread (which is a stick) for newcomers to post in, but that's alright I'll keep this thread up. I think I may rearrange and add some forums anyway. Oh and LOL at your signature

I don't think I've ever seen a Les Paul acoustic. Do you have a picture of it?

http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p312 ... deluxe.jpg I don't have a pic of mine yet. it's like this one, but mine is white. and it's both electric and acoustic, which is good because I don't absolutely need an amp (but one is nice

You guys are awesome, I'll start off with that. I got here looking for phoenix wright tabs, and found so much more. In fact, I don't know if I'd still be trying to learn guitar if I didn't find this website. The comments are all clean and (relatively) friendly and spam-free. And the tabs are awesome, and it's easy to learn some things from reading the tabs along with the comments, like how to write good tabs and play notes correctly (don't put all the notes on one string, space them out so you're not moving up and down the keyboard like a monkey head
).
As I said before, I'm relatively new to guitar. I grew up on pianos, and I had somewhat of a knack for tones, and being able to match the tones on the keyboard, and I got better at that, although I never really messed with chords, I pretty much just worked with the melodies. My parents got me a guitar this Christmas (I asked for guitar hero, and thinking I had epic musical prowess, my dad figured I would love a guitar, which I did
), so I've been practicing since then, and I've learned so much about the guitar and music in general in the past few days, a lot of that just from this site. I look forward to being a part of this community, and if any of you guys wanna chat about things with six strings, lemme know
P.S. an introduction forum would be pretty cool, I know this is general discussion but my thread seems out of place =/
