Do you want an IRC channel?

Just wondering if you guys are interested in one at all.

I'm on IRC more than I'm on the internetz, ye for me. I use a small network with the main room containing about 35 people in the evening. It's stable (usually) and has all the services needed.

I just want someone to explain to me what the benefits of having one are? I mean does it have some social networking value like myspace, or what?

I really only frequent one channel, a channel of a forum I go to. The forum is average in size with about 900 registered members (Most users ever online was 181 on Sun Jul 01, 2007 10:17 pm), but it's a great way to get to know people better. Many projects that aren't posted on the forum are done in the channel and people commonly assist. It's a lot more personal than a forum and conversations are a lot easier as there is instant communication.

its faster contact other than a forum...and if you know alot about irc bot you can probably make something that you can post tabs onto for fast access

If someone wants to host a Game Tabs IRC channel, go right ahead. But I really have no idea how to use IRC, nor a desire to do it. So if anybody would be so kind, please be my guest.

like what archard said if someone gets one running ill help with the moderation/bot features. but i have no idea how to run a server or anything

The best Java applet around is PJIRC, although I'm not sure of its compatibility with phpBB3.

Social networks are still very popular. And they can be especially useful in running a business. I have found free marketing tools which have proven to be quite helpful in this. Thanks to this, I can increase the reputation of my company, using simple tools.

I agree, there are many ways to promote your business. Even if you just want to raise your popularity, you can order purchase of subscribers to your profile and Buy Instagram Followers. I've been working with them for a long time, regularly adding subscribers to my page and I want to say that this way really helps me to attract to my profile and live active people.
