Let's list some of our favorite OST's

Movie, TV Series, Video Game, doesn't matter what it is as long as it's an OST. Plus I'm currently on the hunt for some new stuff to listen to so I guess it can be a recommendation topic as well.

There's more to the VG but those are just at the top of my mind. I'm WIDE open for TV series OST, cause as you guys can tell it consist of ALL anime ost's, so any recommendation given in that category I'll check into. And if for some reason this topic is in the wrong place I'm sorry. V_V

Hmm I can't really think of any movie or TV OST's of the top of my head so I'll just talk about video game OSTs.

In my opinion it doesn't get any better than the OSTs from Final Fantasy 6 - 10, Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross. These albums contain the highest concentration of great songs that I can think of. Maybe it's just because these are the songs I grew up with and nostalgia plays a role, but these OSTs are a step above everything else IMO.

But for the sake of not being boring, here are some other OSTs that I love.

Twilight Princess
Kirby's Adventure
Resident Evil

I grew up playing Ocarina of Time nonstop; I haven't heard the songs in years but after the first two notes it comes rushing back. I never had an NES or SNES but they contain loads of my favorites. I'm yet to play Chrono Trigger (though I have it) but I'm really loving its music thus far.

I'm a huge fan of the Metroid series and Banjo-Tooie is one of my N64 favorites, which just reminded me I started tabbing Isle O' Hags for a friend a while ago. I should get around to continuing that. As of three weeks ago, I was this far. =P

Like to add that all the Dragon Quest OST and their Symphonic Suite counterparts are all great listens.

Everything listed so far is great.
I also really liked Shadow of the Colossus. Gave the game that epic kind of feel.

Favourite ones would have to be those made by Uematsu Nobuo,Joe Hisaishi and Daisuke Ishiwatari
Others would be Legend of Zelda,Parasite Eve,Dynasty Warriors and Battle Arena Toshinden (Damn good music for such an old game)

Recently got the Folklore(Folk Soul in Japan) and FF7 Crisis Core OST's and theyre yummy :D

I really enjoy any of the Final Fantasy OSTs, due to Nobou Uematsu being the "God of Video Game Music", but I don't think anyone can honestly admit they don't like those OSTs. But other than that:

Only thing I use my TV for is video games and anime...except for Heroes, Ghost Hunters, Mythbusters, and Home Improvement, none of which had anything special as far as soundtrack, though I do enjoy some of the songs from South Park and The Simpsons.

The whole The Legend of Zelda franchise, of course. Tales of Symphonia has great music as well just like Fire Emblem and Okami. Maplestory has some fun songs too ! :D And Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles has some very great celtic songs.
