Hell yeah man, great game. I got stuck like half way through expert a few months ago and haven't picked it up again. When does GH3 come out?

Activision initially stated that the game ws planned for release in the fiscal year of 2008, which stretches from March 2007 to March 2008. On April 9, 2007, RedOctane clarified this by unofficially stating on their website that "Guitar Hero 3 for the Playstation 2, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii are currently scheduled for release in the United States in Fall of 2007". According to play.com, the game will be released in the UK on all platforms on the 30th of November 2007.

Thats from wikipedia, but their information can be dodgy :p

Actually, if my memory serves me, it gets released in the US on Oct. 28.... maybe 27.... I can't remember.

I don't know... I think I was kinda disappointed in the track list. There's a lotta punk. Punk's ok, but doesn't usually have the best guitar-ation, making me think that some of those songs will be boring (maybe not). And WHERE IS AC\DC?!

At least the greatest band ever made it in... G N' F'n' R!!!!

I pre-ordered this game and can't wait till it comes out! Bad thing is, I'm having my wisdom teeth removed around that time and I'll be so out of it for a few days... :cry:

its also gonna be released for pc and mac.
right now me and my dad are in the process turning my broken guitar and my broken guitar controller into a full size guitar hero guitar(wireless).out of the released songs from gh3 i can't wait to shred "in flames-take this life".

hmmm... I think thats kind of Ruins the Experience of Guitar hero Being on computer!!!!
Unless it was hooked up to a decent TV and Sound system...

according to activision and scorehero its gonna have a guitar similar to the guitar hero 2(xbox 360) guitar.
or you can get the standalone version.
if you want it perfect,sound and video,just get the creative sound blaster audigy 4 pro sound card,surround sound speakers(preferably bose...or if you dont have the money they want logitech has a good set),nvidia bfg graphics card(to rich for my blood,so just go for something atleast 128mb or step up to 256mb by nvidia or ati).and then you still have the $90 for gh3 w/ usb guitar.
i plan on doing this(with spending as little as possible) if the ps2 version doesnt have online play...but i am still getting the ps2 version first.
btw,the only guitar on gh2 i dont have is the log.

i dont know...i am in like 3 guitar hero forums and the only way for custom tracks i heard of for any guitar hero so far is the modding for the ps2's,swap magic,and the replacement files.

I would like Guitar Hero, and I did at one time, but once I beat the first gam on expert, it was a boring concept. When I finally got guitar hero 2, I was expecting it to be harder, since the first game was easy. And while it was slightly harder, it didn't really pose much of a challenge. The only songs I really have trouble with now are Jordan and Six.

I know what you mean. I think what they pretty much have so start doing now is allow custom made songs (without some bs hacking). Why they haven't added this ability in GH3 is beyond me. Most likely some kind of licensing issue.

I got GH3. The controller that game with the game was defective and the game was weak. They made some of the expert songs retardedly easy again. They ruined the in song ui. Fuck them. I hate them bad.

Don't get me wrong, some of the artists had good songs, ie, Stevie ray, dragonforce, and Cream. But theres not much more than that.

Modded with a chip/software mod. Basically modded so you can add external data to the hard-drive so it can be used with games. Its how people made custom levels for halo on the regular xbox. Stupid stuff like that.

i failed that song at 2%...i tried it on practice and did pretty good,if the intro was easier than i would actually beat it but I=noob sauce for that song.
but i did get my gh 2 songs submitted on scorehero tonight.
check it out...
as for jordan...i fail at 57%

all the versions will have downloadable content except for the WII version, nintendo is still working on that. the PC/Mac version will have a track editor from what ive heard, my friend ordered it a few days ago so he should be getting it soon.
