Lego Mindstorms

For my engineering design class we have to design a robot that can walk 5 feet from this thing called "Lego Mindstorms" robots kit. It's pretty cool, it comes with a bunch of legos and a programmable motor so that you can make your creation move.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this and if so would you like to share your ideas? At first I thought this was gonna be easy but it's turning out to be pretty challenging and I have to use a lot of creativity to come up with something good.

Well, the project is due tomorrow, so I thought I'd show off the final design.

This bad boy crawls at a whopping .127 meters per second!!! :geek:

127m per second? It's a fast little sod, isn't it? Anyway, it seems to have been coming on very well.

I know, but I'm saying .127 m/s (point one two seven), not 127 m/s (one-hundred twenty seven)

Oh. Hehe. I thought one-hundred and twenty-seven seemed a little unrealistic  .

Ah, I miss the days when I was playing around with my RCX (That's what it was called, right? The large yellow brick?). I remember making six-legged walkers and stuff. Man, that sure was fun.
Now I wanna get the new kind, but I've got far too many other things to spend my money on to afford it :3

At least its better then the one I made.

The one I made was just a little tiny engine with a battery on it and a wheel.
Yours is more appealing to the eye.

They shouldn't have named it the Wii, it's the butt of too many stupid jokes. They should've named it the Perfect Nintendo Entertainment System(PNES).
