Will you sing on it like you did on the "Listen to the cry of the Planet" cover ?

Actually I wasn't planning on singing in this one, as there is no choir sound. But maybe I could add some choir chords again in some parts. I'll see if it fits :)
But I'm looking forward to give a solo to the English horn, my favorite color of instrument! :) It only had a minor chord part in 'cries of the planet'.
(And I'm sorry if I make mistakes in my English but it's not my first language, I hope you don't mind :))

Do you only make cori or do you sing lyrics too ?
Cause, for your next covers tha't be cool to sing some songs too :)
Or even make some lyrics on a melody (a bit like KatetheGreat19)

The fact is that I'm not that good so I found Descendant Of Shinobi could be easy enough.

Hello you french guy !

I think i would be nice if you introduce yourself in the forum, its a community after all :)

What i think if your cover (frenchisation in 3...2...1...)

I had to conduct a group of musicians and work on the piece for 15 minutes for an exam in may, and I was free to choose the piece. Of course I chose Aeris theme ^^ I wrote it for clarinet, 2 viola's, cello and guitare. It is a part of the exam that is secretly recorded out of my pocket, so it has not the best quality. I know the tuning is not always right and just ignore the clarinet in the beginning... That was too high and difficult to play it in echo. I should have left it out. I know it's not perfect, but I'm so happy I could play it once through with them! It's not meant for the cd I guess because of the quality, but I like to share this with you guys ^^ I conducted it with a big enjoying smile till the end ^^

@acousticcertra that clarinet is a bit harsh sounding in that recording. Still pretty damn good for a pocket recorder though!

Still think you should sometimes make arrangements and not only play the original all along :)

Acousticetra: Aerith Theme is a song that must be played by classical instrument, i really never fond a guitar (acoustic or electric) that give me the same feeling than a classical orchestra version !

There was nothing wrong with the actual artwork of the cover.
Empty space is just as powerful if more so than Filled up space.

I was just referring to how the "Gametabs tribute Album" part of the text is in conflict
with the Final Fantasy 7 Logo due to them being the same font and same size.
it throws the Hierarchy off because both of those text lines share the same weight and thus fight for dominance.

But that's up to you Hashel.

Jeah, a real final deadline is still needed :)
When we think back, this all started one year ago =^. .^=

--------------------
Here, I played a bit around and edited the Cover (click to enlarge):

See that's better. Only real issue I see now is the spacing ( guessing you used justified options ) between the Words creates what we call "Rivers".

Also I would double check the artwork. Just because you guys are doing a "tribute" album doesn't mean you have rights to the artwork. Would be a shame if you guys did all this just to get hit with copyright notices whenever you posted that photo somewhere sending off a red flag.

cool idea. i've got a decent cosmo canyon mp3 (3 guitars, bass, various percussion) on this site that you could include if you like. :D i always get pumped when the fuzz bass kicks in. xD

i have one for ahead on our way, too, but it's a bit sloppy. it redeems itself a bit by having a pretty cool sounding guitar covering the synthy bits. can post if anyone is interested.

Cosmo Canyon mp3

fixed the link. looks like i'd finished the piece back in May, so maybe i was a bit too early, but i noticed it was a tune a lot of people were suggesting and i'd put all this work into the thing earlier in the year, so I thought i'd share it with you guys. xD

Is Link_Strife07 really dead or what? :o She didn"t post anything on youtube for a loooooong time :X

@SixStringDelay, Hey i like your cover, even if the bass mixed in the right is a bit disturbing, maybe you should keep the bass in the middle. I love the guitar sounds, the lead with that 1octave up sound is cool ! Reminds me an effect i was using with my old Digitech RP-350.

I'll put your song in the project ^^

congratulations, dude. and thanks! i know what you mean about the bass. the lowest note it hits is a C2 (8th fret on e string) so at least it's not really low, but yeah. i think i was trying to let the tom drum stand out more.

i have another mix that's pretty different from this one (the original) that does have the bass centered, but i'm not happy with how one of the drums is sounding in that one. maybe i'll try to fix it up and upload that one.

that octave effect is the whammy up effect built into my boss ME-70. i wanted to keep in the original register of the tune hehe. thanks for including my tune! feels good to be around other gamer / musicians. :D

sorry to do this after you got that list together. xD
re-mastered: MP3 (8.3 MB)

i think it sounds much nicer now, though. i did a lot of various EQ work and re-mastering (including centering the bass :P). rendered at 320 kbs this time, too.

my programs are able to volume equalize and get those rates the same if need be. But i haven't balanced an entire album before. xD if no one else can do it, i can give it a try.

But i haven't balanced an entire album before

Same with me^^
Until now I only tried to maximize the volume of multiple songs of Hash (some time has passed Hash, I didn't get any answer of you in that matter ;P )
, but some were older, some have been recorded with different equipment and it was hard to edit everything to make it sound "equal" and keep clarity.
On the scale it's all maximized to -0,3db, but it doesn't feel everywhere it has the same volume level, because they're all very different...

Here with Hash's stuff I used slightly Multiband-compression (individually for each song! but I didn't want to cut too much of the dynamics) and a Maximizer up to -0,3, ...this was my first try and I want to improve ;P

I think, we can try and help each other in this matter xD

----
- Hash, my Jenova Absolute will be remixed, I just have to do some crazy little stuff until the *absolutelylastfinalrealultimatedeadline* ;D

- I tried to improve the Traitor, but I recorded it with too low settings, the signal gets horrible if I try to edit it -.-

- And The Tiny Bronco will gain a different sounding of the intro-guitars... someone, I think BigHeadClan mentioned back then, that the distorted guitars sound not so good and I think, he was right xD I already edited it, but have to do some adjustments...

- If my Corel Ropeway-Interlude is accepted, I could add it here too, but I'm still not satisfied with the bass-sounding in combination with the Hammond-organ...

Had not much time for guitar the last time...
