Play both Electric & Acoustic guitar (finger plucking mainly), have access to a piano (don't really play it tho). My style is mainly metal/ hard rock, although I do love myself some video game and anime music :P

I'm fairly limited in terms of software, but I can use the majority of the tools offered by Guitar pro and like to mess around and do my own recording with Reaper and Sound forge.

Also do the majority of the writing for my band, but that really doesn't say much at this point. heh

Keep Cool Man, i told i like the spirit.

Nothing against the bass !

For the tones for exemple, i think you use a detune or an octaver or an IPS on the Motorcycle part, i think it clashes a bit with the overdrive tone...
The melody at 1.24 use an IPS i don't really like it...

The part around 1.50 - 2.00 sounds a bit "messy" too me

This is just MY opinion, i'm not going to chose which songs are good or not we will talk about together.

If you like it like this, well just keep it... But you can make an alternate version, and then we will see which one is better etc...

I will try several different settings and tones on each of my tracks too, we got the time, don't be hurry :)

Maybe it's not an IPS, it's an effect that changes the tuning of the guitar sound... Maybe it'sa Pitch Shifter ?

But give me you opinions about the tones etc... Am i on the good way ?

I'll ask to someone to make batter drums and strings too... GP6 and midis don't sound that good

Profile:
Instruments: primary E-guitar, a bit e-bass, some easier MIDI with Keyboard...^^

Style of playing: mhm...Rock, Metal...depending on which song^___^ I get my inspiration spontaneously^^

Speciality : Soloing, Harmonies...

Weackness: Fingerpicking, Sweeping, Tapping, musical theory, reading notes and much more, still learning autodidactical^_^

10 songs that i'd like to do:
-In context of FF7:
1. Again recording -Wutai- and ->
2. -Cid's Theme- (because I´ve got better Equip now and possibilities to mix it with more than by volume xD )
3. Jenova Absolute [(most people are covering the main Jen-theme ;) ...I´ve begun with the base of the song, there are many tracks to handle. This is thought as a collab with Hashel, but first I have to make the footing^^]
4. Mark of a Traitor
5. Mining Town - Corel Ropeway Station
...and some further songs... ;D

At the end of next month I´ll have many time because of vacation = absolutely time for guitarwork :) (I should take vacation more often, then I´d make more covers xD)

A medley sounds kick ass, it has me all excited now and I'm already choosing songs for it ><. I was planning to give a hand to Max_depa with "Ahead on our way" since it's a really simple arrangement, I'm totally for doing both since a medley would take a fair deal of time to piece together.

@Hashel. Yeah, it's a sort of pitch shifter. It's got the original pitch mixed with an octave above. I used it cuz I wanted it to stick out more than the rest of the lines. I get what you mean by how it gets cluttered near the end there. I might have to do a little fixing on it.

Well there is no real time limit, we will make the point at the 15/09 and will see how much songs are over, of some people need mor time, if we need more songs, if we wanna make collabs etc etc...

and then we'll have to ask someone to make an artwork or somthing for the Album, talk where we'r going to put it (mediafire?), how to make the promotion by youtube, or facebook, or whatever... (And i still belive gametabs needs an official yotube chanel) etc etc

Hmm it would be a cool thing to have for this site provided it's done right, it could be tricky to implement but I suppose if everyone just voted every 2-3 weeks what video/recording's we like the most and just thew them up it would work.

Medley:
Have around 14 songs that I would like to see in a medley but I have to reduce it to about 3-5 total. So if there's anything you guys especially want to hear out of the list say so!

List:
- Bombing Mission (opening?)
- Infiltrating Shinra Tower
- Make Reactor
- Those Who Fight Further (kind of overdone)
- Cosmo Canyon/ Great Warrior
- Trail of Blood
- Interrupted by Fireworks
- The Great Northern Cave
- Weapon Raid (only have tabs for this so unlikely)
- Sending A Dream into the universe (Hash may play)
- One Winged Angel (Overdone as well)
- Parochial Town
- Life Stream (ending?)

So hey, I know I'm a little late to the party, but I'll participate wherever help is needed.
My main forte is definitely fingerstyle, but I can play a bit of electric too. I am pretty weak with bass (I don't hear that low range of sounds as well) and I'm not good with making crazy riffs.
Also, I'm not sure if/how this will really fit in, but I'm actually working on a banjo tab for Farm Boy at the moment. I'm not sure if you dislike the banjo like a lot of people seem to, but it's on the table. (and my tab can switch to guitar, to a certain extent) :P

Well I think of the 'main theme' as "Opening - Bombing mission" as you actually hear it at the start and not at the end of disk 1, but looking over the topic it seems no one has claimed it yet. Still go with whatever you enjoy more, no point if you don't enjoy the song your working with right?
