I've always noticed silly things like when a cash register or scanner beeps in the key of the song that's playing over the store radio. I always want to tell someone, but can't imagine that anyone cares.

Also you remind me of an idea I had once, to mash up Sean Mullins's "Lullaby" with Green Day's "When I come around". Same chords, and the lyrics work well together:

"Everything's gonna be alright" "--When I come arou-und"

You could also throw in More Than a Feeling by Boston, and get "I see Marianne walk away, when I come around."
