Seriously, Bone is great and

Seriously, Bone is great and everyone should read it. And Buffy fans should read Fray. (But ye gods, the Buffy season 8 comics derailed hard. Avoid, avoid, avoid!) I don't read a whole lot of comics, but my brother collected some neat comics when I was younger. Of course, he never let so much as touch them, which is probably the best way to instill a keen interest into a child's mind--that's why I ended up reading Bone, and the Tick as well! Holy crow! I forgot THE TICK(and Arthur) Anyway, I've still never gotten around to reading some of the other things he collected. I'd like to, someday. He collected the original ninja turtles comics, Flaming Carrot, Groo, and ... probably a lot of others. I think he bought anything that was black and white, and in the 90s, when mainstream comics were coming into their own as "darker" and "edgier" and as anatomically improbable as possible, I guess I found the indie side of things more appealing. After the Spider-Man movies came out, though, I bought some of the collections of the old Spider-Man comics. Cheesy, but I like them :-D I bought an X-Men collection or two, because my friend Pam loves them, but I couldn't get into it. Ah well. As you can tell, I'd probably be pretty into comic book geekery, if I ever got around to reading more of them!

^^ i used to read bone when i was younger, and i saw the collection in one huge volume at buddytoad comics a few months ago, meant to pick it up, but it was like $40, and i couldnt really afford it at the time. also ive been meaning to give fray a go, it actually looked fairly interesting. also, i was more into graphic novels than comics, but hey. fucking loved watchmen
