Gametab's Challenge Riff/Lick of the Week #2

Who's down for Gametabs's challenge riff/lick of the week.
If you master it, I guarantee your technique will improve big time.

This week I challenge you with legato from Kurikinton Fox's Overdrive.
I tabbed this lick myself so it probably won't be exactly how he plays it but it's damn close.

This may be hard for some of you who rarely play legato, but will be good practice!

Submissions will not be accepted after 11:59 PM, Thursday January 5th.

Q&A

Mastering? What counts as mastering?
Playing with precision and cleanly at the given tempo, not going offbeat at all.

Okay so what do I have to do?
Record yourself playing the riff/lick with just audio or audio with video(preferred). If you do not record with the backing track, please at least use a metronome so we know you are playing at the right tempo. Once you meet the criteria above, post a reply and your entry will be posted at the bottom of this post.

How many times do I play it?
Play licks once. Riffs will be specified by the poster.

Can I play it differently than how it is tabbed?
Sure. You can change the positioning of the notes, but do not add or remove notes, or do anything that can be considered cheating.

What do I get if I win?
Winner of each week will be featured on the front page with a link to his/her entry as an article. Winner also gets to choose next riff or lick. But that's just for fun, the real reward will be towards your own guitar technique.

What riff or lick can the winner choose for the next challenge?
Anything that the winner is able to play and believes that it will help people improve their technique.
This is NOT a I betcha can't play this thread!

What anti-trolling rules are in place for the winner?
If requested, the winner will have to post a video of himself playing the riff/lick he chose in case his riff/lick seems impossible!

Since this lick doesn't start at beginning of bar, it may be hard to find where it starts so I'm posting a quiet guitar backing track.

Uploaded a video of myself playing, and noticed that I picked a few more notes towards the end instead of strait legato, so I updated the tabs. Play however feels comfortable for you...keep it legato though

This might help.
It isn't a video, but you should be able to understand what a hammer-on is from just following the instructions.

One of the most difficult parts when learning this for me was remembering what comes next, which was really tricky at high speeds. Just play it over and over and eventually muscle memory kicks in.

If you aren't use to legato, that is another story, and hopefully playing this lick slow will help build legato skills.

I acknowledge this was a pretty hard riff, I didn't nail it 100% myself lol, but the fact it was more difficult than last one makes it a richer practicing experience, even if you don't master it, as long as you attempt it there will be improvement! look forward to next week's challenge.
